Children are welcomed into a calm, small-group setting, with materials ready and time to ease into the session. We have a 5 minutes intro to talk about what they will work on that day.

Explore Materials and Warm up

Explore Materials and Warm Up

Each session begins with experimenting with different materials, colour palettes and texture making tools, giving children space to explore and express themselves.

Make and Experiment

Make and Experiment

Children will be guided through creative processes such as drawing, painting, collage, construction and print-based activities around a theme (an artist or an art work)

Developing ideas

Developing Ideas

With gentle guidance, children can develop their work at their own pace, trying out ideas and making creative choices along the way.

Take Artwork Home

Take Artwork Home

Children finish the session with their own artwork to take home, along with new ideas, confidence and creative energy.

A summer art camp for children who enjoy making, imagining and trying things out — in a calm, small-group setting.
Rather than a big, busy camp, these sessions take place in an artist’s home in Balham, with a maximum of 6 children. Each child has space to settle, explore materials, ask questions and develop their own ideas at their own pace.
We’ll be working with painting, printing, collage, construction and 3D processes, with gentle guidance and plenty of room for creativity.

My name is Justine and my passion is to connect with people through art and to share the joy of creating.
I have been a professional artist for 20 years, mainly painting but also exploring printmaking, sculpture and recently ceramics.
I started to teach workshops 12 years ago and the goal has alway being to reconnect participants with the joy of play and experimentation and to provide a moment of creative mindfulness.
Inspired mostly by Nature and Abstraction, I will lead you in an exploration of patterns, textures, line and colours using different techniques such as drawing mono prints, lino foam prints, watercolour, cut-outs and collage.
Let’s have fun!
