What you'll do

Join this acrylic pouring adventure designed for those who have already dipped their toes in the captivating world of paint pouring. This advanced class is all about refining your technique, exploring new styles, and letting your creativity run wild.

As part of this art class, you take a deep dive into three distinctive acrylic pouring techniques. You will create and bring home three unique pieces on canvas of at least 20 x 20 size and discover the beauty that lies within each method.

First up is the ring pour technique. A process that's all about wrist action, this method focuses on the natural elegance of poured rings instead of cells. Don't worry if you've already tried this before, simply inform your teacher who will add a fresh twist to keep things interesting.

Next, you'll navigate through the intriguing world of floating cup pour. This technique introduces you to the beauty of negative space and bright cell creation while floating your cup atop the base layer. You'll also learn how to enlarge cells by stretching them out.

Finally, we unveil the swipe techniques — a bit challenging yet incredibly rewarding! It's an essential skill in acrylic pouring that yields mesmerising results worth exploring.

This workshop also opens up an opportunity for you to probe deeper into aspects like canvas preparation and finishes or any other queries that might be lingering in your mind. If you've been struggling with common issues or need troubleshooting advice, this is your golden chance!

Indulge in the creativity of exploration and experimentation and find your rhythm when it comes to fluid art. Don't worry if things get a little messy, that’s all part of the fun! Transporting the wet artwork can be tricky, boxes will be provided but please consider your travel after the class has ended and understand that your finished work might not look exactly the same after its journey home.

By the end of this paint pouring workshop, you'll have mastered some popular techniques which can easily be replicated at home to help you keep making more and more mesmerising art.

I am very passionate about creativity. It's so good for the soul, body and mind, I aim to inspire as many people as possible to fully embrace their inner creativity.

I am a mother to 3 wonderful children who keep me busy but also keep me young. As a family of 5 plus pets we live in the beautiful village of Henfield, Sussex. We are all very creative, my husband is a talented knife maker just for fun. The children too have their arty talents, drawing, making, painting and quite simply creating anything with their own hands.

I have always had a flair for art and crafts since my earliest memories. From making clothes for my cindy dolls, to sitting aged 7 with my dad watching Bob Ross and trying my hand with oil paints.

After many years working in sales, after I had my children a slower pace in life was needed to keep my mental health as positive as possible. I am self taught and didn’t study art further than secondary school. It may have taken me longer than some to fully embrace my passion for art, however the timing for me has been perfect.
