On the search for fun print making classes in Manchester? Design and print unique collagraphs at this beginner-friendly workshop — a must for those who love colour and texture!

A collagraph is a print making technique where a plate is created by assembling various materials onto a rigid surface, such as cardboard or wood. These materials can include textured items like fabric, paper, string, or other found objects.

Over three hours, artist Rach Evans will guide you through designing and printing your collagraphs using readily available household materials. This is a beautiful technique and a wonderful introduction to print making, no experience in painting or drawing is necessary to enjoy this fascinating and relaxing workshop. Additionally, the plate can be printed in many different ways, making it wonderful for experimentation.

Experience the joy of print making and unleash your artistic flair in this engaging workshop. Don't miss this chance to learn a new skill and create something truly special!

Your teacher

I'm an artist printmaker and life model based in Manchester city centre producing personal work as well as facilitating printmaking, life drawing and painting workshops regularly in Manchester. I absolutely love watching people explore the huge variety of printmaking techniques. In addition to the pure joy of creating, making something new boosts self esteem, relieves stress and anxiety, stimulates the mind, and helps us to interact with ourselves and our community in a different way than our usual day-to-day lives. Printmaking provides the opportunity to explore and communicate our thoughts, emotions and ideas in a fun and experimental way.

I teach regular printmaking workshops at The Village Hall, Deansgate Mews as well as private 1-2-1 sessions in my personal studio at 1520 Studios. I also run workshops for other artists, corporate events and neighbourhood complexes. So Little Lion Studio is many things, but there is just me at it’s heart. Essentially, I am an artist and workshop facilitator providing a safe and encouraging space for people to come and feel comfortable creating, exploring, experimenting, talking, thinking and feeling.
