I have just finished the 6 weeks and my only gripe is that it's over. This is a one to one tuition that is laid back and flexible. Annabel and Lucy teach in different ways so having a mix of both helped immensely. Annabel is very hands on and Lucy guides and explains the technique. You may find cheaper classes but you will not find a more focused and welcoming environment than Wightman Studio. I came away from my sessions feeling confident in what had been taught but also like I had been hanging around with some old friends.
The studio is clean, modern, has highend equipment and you will never feel pushed for time at the end of your session.

I started as an absolute beginner and have finished with enough knowledge and confidence to set up my own studio.

Spent a lovely couple of hours in the Studio this morning learning the very basics of making a vessel. The setting is just beautiful and peaceful so a wonderful time to relax and just enjoy being creative. I was taught by 2 very friendly creators at different points during the session, They were both very encouraging and supportive and showed different techniques which was fab!
I was just learning and chatting away with no pressure to get it right straight away.
It was my absolute first time throwing on a wheel and had only done very basic primary school level clay work prior and I've left having made a nice item which I thoroughly enjoyed making. I honestly could have sat there all day, I found working with the clay quite relaxing and mindful almost meditative and I would definitely go again.

Annabelle is a very talented potter and teacher - her instruction is easy to follow, makes sense and the results were frankly way above my expectations of my abilities! I can’t wait to the fired results. I had a great time and will be back for more.

This was a birthday present from my husband and was great fun - definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to try out a new craft.
The studio is light, bright, has ample parking and is easy to find. Thanks very much
