PPE and Safety Talk
The start will be a quick chat to see what you want to get out of the session. Chat about the fire procedure, risks, and what to expect. Wel then get you into the PPE and have a walk through the bay to show you where everything is.
Demo and Time to Get Used to It
After a quick demo you will have time to get used to the process. I will pop in and out of your bay to help you make the most of your time. As you get better I will give you more difficult tasks to try if you want to.
Your Project
There will be different projects throughout the year, some will be seasonal like the rebar reindeer pictured. This will be your project to build, change up and add to your taste. You will then be able to take this home
- Those with ALN or disabilities are very welcome, but please contact the teacher before booking as additional PPE or equipment may be required.
- Because this process involves magnetic fields, hot metals, and sparks, some restrictions apply. Please consult your doctor if you have any medical concerns before booking.

Your teacher
I have been in the engineering industry since I was 18, starting at the Royal Mint furnaces. I then progressed through different companies, I got to work on lots of amazing projects. My welding career has mainly been heavy industry, tata steel, concrete plants, ships etc. it has been a very fun but hard journey which has taken its tole on my body. Being disabled and dyslexic I have not been able to follow an engineers career but gained a chance to teach. Teaching contracts have given me the opportunity to work for huge companies where I have met so many amazing people. One of the main students I had, solidified my passion for teaching. It was a young woman who had the hardest upbringing, couldn't read/write. She now has a future and has excelled all expectations of the people around her. My goal with my training facility, is to bring both the fun and creativity of welding to as many people as possible. Break down the barriers for women, people with ALN, disabilities and give them a future in the welding industry. As long as you have fun and learn I'm happy
