I have been in the engineering industry since I was 18, starting at the Royal Mint furnaces. I then progressed through different companies, I got to work on lots of amazing projects. My welding career has mainly been heavy industry, tata steel, concrete plants, ships etc. it has been a very fun but hard journey which has taken its tole on my body. Being disabled and dyslexic I have not been able to follow an engineers career but gained a chance to teach. Teaching contracts have given me the opportunity to work for huge companies where I have met so many amazing people. One of the main students I had, solidified my passion for teaching. It was a young woman who had the hardest upbringing, couldn't read/write. She now has a future and has excelled all expectations of the people around her. My goal with my training facility, is to bring both the fun and creativity of welding to as many people as possible. Break down the barriers for women, people with ALN, disabilities and give them a future in the welding industry. As long as you have fun and learn I'm happy
