In this inspiring 3 hour workshop, you'll learn the art of wax carving to create your very own bespoke silver ring! This class is perfect for beginners looking to dip their toes into the world of jewellery making. Don't worry if you've never heard of wax carving before – we'll guide you through every step of the process in a warm and uplifting environment.During the class, you'll be introduced to different wax carving techniques and tools, including how to carve and sculpt the wax to create beautiful designs. We'll also cover the basics of lost wax casting, ensuring that your finished silver ring is both unique and wearable.I will be on hand to provide guidance and support throughout the workshop, with over 10 years jewellery making experience, I'll make sure you feel comfortable and confident in your abilities. Using high-quality materials and tools, you'll discover the joy that comes with transforming a simple piece of wax into a wearable silver ring. Your wax version will be sent off to be cast in silver, and available to collect in a few weeks time, ready for you to show off and wear at home.If you haven't carved anything before, aim to have some fun and experiment with shape & texture - complex designs take time to create & this session is better suited to creating simpler pieces that you can complete within the session time.Come join us for this exciting hands-on class and unlock your creativity in a fun and supportive environment. All equipment, tools & materials are included, along with 1 standard ring, cast in sterling silver, available to collect from The Workshop when it’s ready in around 3 weeks time. You’ll get 2 standard size waxes during the session, 1 to practice on & 1 to cast. You can always choose to have both cast, for an additional fee. Chunky rings will add additional costs, and as casts are charged by weight, pricing can vary depending on daily metal prices.If you’d like your ring posted out to you, an additional fee might be charged.Snacks & refreshments are also included.If there's time, or you’re a super-fast carver, you are more than welcome to purchase more wax to create even more fantastic pieces.
