  • 4/5 from Caroline Faller, attended Oct 2026: A great beginners class to crochet. Hannah was very patient and showed us the techniques involved. We learnt double and treble stitch. The course included 2 balls of wool, plus a crochet hook to take home and practice. I could have done with an extra half hour but Hannah gave us a video link we could use at home.
  • 4/5 from Zoe Homfray-Cooper, attended Oct 2026: I’d reached 50 years old and hadn’t learned to crochet! The teacher was clear at the beginning but as we hit problems like too many stitches it would have been nice if she had moved from her seat to demonstrate or help around the table. I feel confident starting but not sure I have gained anything else but straight lines!
  • 3/5 from Petra Langr, attended Oct 2026: The teacher was lovely, and it was a good introduction to several crochet stitches. However, I would have found it easier to learn if the stitches were taught through small projects, such as a mini scarf, a simple circle or a square. This would help beginners understand where to place stitches, how to make corners and how everything comes together, while leaving with something they’ve made.
  • 5/5 from Delia Pearce, attended Sep 2026: Really enjoyed the workshop and very pleased with what I managed to create. Just what I needed to understand and be able to do the basics. Thanks Sarah
  • 5/5 from Steph Kireia, attended Sep 2026: I booked a beginners crochet class for my self and my 11 year old daughter to be able to learn crochet, Madeline was our teacher and she was so good and very patient with my daughter who took a little longer to understand and get it, we both had a brilliant time and are very happy to continue practicing and getting better
  • 5/5 from Sally Finestone, attended Sep 2026: What fun, the 90 minutes went in the blink of an eye. I thought it was fantastic value for money as you get wool, crochet hook & bag to take away. I accidentally free styled (green arrow) but the the instructor, who was lovely, was on hand to steer me in the right direction. A super relaxed atmosphere and having never crocheted I was surprised to have produced anything!
  • 5/5 from Lydia Malam, attended Sep 2026: Really helpful for me to get to grips with crochet after I’ve been struggling to learn from YouTube tutorials!! Thank you Chrissie!!
  • 5/5 from Amanda Bayliss, attended Sep 2026: Really good beginner’s class, with friendly and clear instructions. Karen was also very helpful at helping me to understand a pattern I brought in! Very enjoyable session, thank you!
  • 5/5 from Wendy Durrant, attended Sep 2026: The teacher was very patient and informative. She interacted with all people in the class and worked with us. Her demonstration and explanations were good and she helped us to understand the basics. Would recommend

I would recommend going to anyone.
  • 5/5 from Sandra Herbert, attended Sep 2026: We had a fantastic time learning how to double and treble crochet. Our teacher Natalie was very clear with her instructions and also helped us individually when we got stuck. It was great to have a canvas bag filled with 2 balls of wool and a crochet hook ready to start the afternoon lesson.
  • 5/5 from Celia Berrett, attended Sep 2026: The ladies were very patient with me. I found it hard to master. I am 70 and it takes longer to grasp new things

  • 5/5 from Tina Limerick, attended Sep 2026: Very clear instructions. Friendly instructor extremely helpful. Cold due to aircon. Guidance given during lesson
  • 5/5 from Rebecca Bassett, attended Sep 2026: I enjoyed this class. The teacher was welcoming and knew her stuff. She had examples of the different stitches and demonstrated clearly how to do the ones that we were learning. She was able to ensure that each of us made progress at our own level and rate.
  • 5/5 from Gillian Acott, attended Sep 2026: Attended crochet class at Northampton with Fiona. She made us feel very comfortable before we even started. Taught us the basic stitches and made it easy to understand. Although I have done very basic Crochet in the past, I needed a ‘refresher’ lesson & showed me some useful tips during the class. Fiona is an excellent teacher, and I wish her more success with her own work. Gill Acott
