Immerse yourself in the ancient art of bronze casting in this hands-on workshop where you'll craft your very own Bronze Age axe head using traditional techniques. This intimate class, limited to just three participants, offers a rare opportunity to experience metalworking as our ancestors did thousands of years ago.
Your journey begins with an engaging introduction to bronze casting methodology and essential safety protocols. Watch in wonder as molten metal transforms before your eyes, and experience the thrill of pouring your own cast. Under expert guidance, you'll master each step of the process—from precise mould-making to the mesmerising pour, followed by the satisfying process of finishing your piece through fettling, grinding, and polishing.
We'll provide all safety equipment and refreshments (including tea, coffee, and possibly cake—with dairy-free options available). Dress warmly in full-length trousers and sturdy footwear for this primarily outdoor experience.
Fancy creating your own unique design? Get in touch to explore the possibilities of bringing your vision to life in bronze.
