Paint a personalised coastal keepsake celebrating your family this summer

1.5 hours Class size 1 to 50 guests       £15

Create a heartfelt summer keepsake in this relaxing online watercolour class, inspired by sunny beach days and family memories. In this session, you’ll paint a charming coastal scene featuring a row of colourful summer shoes resting on warm golden sand, with soft ocean waves and a dreamy sky in the background.

Each pair of shoes will represent a loved one, and you’ll personalise your artwork by adding names beneath them just like footprints in the sand, along with an optional family name title to complete your piece.

Designed for beginners and improvers alike, this class will guide you step by step through sketching your composition, spacing your design, and building your painting with confidence. You’ll learn how to create a soft, blended sky using the wet-on-wet technique, add texture and depth to your sandy beach, and bring your shoes to life with simple linework and colour.

By the end of the class, you’ll have a unique, meaningful artwork that celebrates your family, perfect to display at home or give as a thoughtful handmade gift. Come along, unwind, and paint your own little piece of summer.

Your class will take place on Zoom, our online workshop platform. There’s no need to download anything—simply click the link provided in your booking confirmation to join the session at the scheduled time.

You’ll be sent a follow-up video after your workshop, which will be live for 12 months afterwards to guide you in your own time.

This workshop is also available as a private workshop for group bookings of 8+.

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.
