Papercut Family Tree Workshop

A beginner's course in papercutting, making your very own bespoke framed family tree.

3.5 hours Class size 1 to 10 guests       £52 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

Come and learn the basics of paper-cutting in this informal and fun 3.5-hour workshop. We'll be working from a pre-drawn template so no need for any artistic skills!
  • During this session, we'll be making a personalised family tree from a single sheet of paper.
  • When you book, please let me know your choice of 4-6 names (top to bottom) that you'd like to appear on your design. You don't have to have 4-6 family names, you can have just your family surname instead, your pets, a favourite quote, or leave it as a beautiful tree design - anything goes!
  • I will then design the template for you and bring it along to the session.
  • We will make them into beautiful framed artworks to take home, all ready to hang on the wall.
  • Full tuition is provided, beginners more than welcome!
  • Use of equipment for the session and refreshments included.

Hi, I’m Stacey and I’m the owner and founder of Meet The Moon Designs. I specialize in making papercut art by hand from single sheets of paper. I’ve been doing this professionally for 10 years and really enjoy every part of the creative process. A lot of my work takes influence from botanicals, bold patterns, and the natural world.
I love making something intricate and beautiful from something so ordinary. I enjoy working with paper as it has the ability to transform into a delicate piece of art with the more cuts you make. Everything I do is by hand - there are no laser cutting machines here!
I have enjoyed exhibiting my work locally and have been lucky enough to win runner-up in the RSPB’s Nature in the City competition, and featured on Hochanda and Craft TV. I also enjoy appearing at demo days to explain to people what papercutting is, and attending numerous talks about the craft and its benefits.
In addition to making art, I also run papercutting workshops all over Buckinghamshire and beyond. These sessions focus on promoting well-being through art, teaching others how therapeutic papercutting can be, fostering connections, and enabling attendees to enjoy some downtime. Practicing relaxation through craft is at the center of each workshop, promoting the benefits of a mindful hobby which can include reducing stress, anxiety, encouraging self-confidence, and even improving sleep. The workshops are ideal for beginners and seasoned crafters alike, and require no real creative ability as we work from pre-drawn templates which I draw myself. Each session has a different theme and I’m there to give full guidance throughout.
In addition to public workshops, I also run private sessions, charity, and corporate events. In-office ‘crafternoons’ are very popular, not only for team building in the traditional sense, but also to offer screen-free time among colleagues and to promote well-being in the workplace.
I also have an online shop which sells printed greeting cards of my work, and beginners papercutting kits and templates for anyone who would like to have a go at home.
If you’d like to talk to me about workshops or papercutting, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
