Fused Glass Four Panel Lantern Workshop

Create your own fused glass lantern, complete with a shepherd’s crook for outdoor hanging.

2.5 hours Class size 1 to 8 guests       £65 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

Come along to this fused glass lantern workshop and design and create four glass panels to fit the lantern and truly make it your own unique item.
You can opt for a black or white metal lantern, designed for indoor or outdoor use, measuring 20 cm tall and designed to hold a tea-light candle.
I will provide four clear glass panels and all the tools and materials required to decorate them in your own design and style: crushed glass, glass "stringer, " glass-compatible paints, and sheet glass in a wide variety of colours. The possibilities are endless!
Relax and tune in to your creative side. I provide plenty of photographic inspiration and a finished item to show you if you’re short of ideas. There will also be tea/coffee and biscuits to fuel that creativity!
Also provided is a tall, black metal shepherd’s crook, which can be used to hang your lantern when it is outside in the garden.
After the workshop, I will take your glass panels with me to fire them in the kiln. Your completed lantern will be delivered back to the venue within 7 days for you to collect.
What you'll get
All tools and materials are provided to create your own beautiful lanterns.
Knowledge required
No cutting is required during this workshop (unless, of course, you wish to!), making it suitable for beginners in glass fusing.
What to bring
Feel free to bring your own design ideas with you, but I will also have photos for inspiration on the day.

I’m Sue and my story with glass starts in a very similar way to yours if you are searching here with an interest in glass fusing. I tried a glass taster workshop at the school where I worked and was hooked! I dabbled, I made pieces for friends and then took a deep breath and bought a kiln! Fast forward five years, and here I am sharing my love for glass with others in my workshops, while remembering my beginnings and allowing you to take it at your pace with as much support as you need.
My inspiration is colour! My favourites are blues and greens but glass is sensational in any colour and when it comes out of the kiln, the end result always makes me smile.
