My kit includes everything you need to design and carve your own ring, and also includes the casting and polishing of your ring. Your ring will be cast in Recycled Sterling Silver, and can also be upgraded to 22ct Gold Vermeil. Follow the step-by-step guidebook and online video tutorials by me, head jewellery designer at Anonoma Jewellery, to learn the art and create your unique ring.
Zero experience is required and even if you think you don’t have a creative bone in your body - I promise you do, or I can at least I can help you find it!
Wax carving is truly my favourite part of the jewellery making process, which is why I’m excited to share this with you! I took my first class in wax carving in 2014 and it was the meditative element of it that really had me hooked.
What's Included:
  • Two Jeweller’s Wax Ring Blanks (One for practise, the other to cast)

  • A handmade cotton bag to keep your kit in
  • The casting, polishing and return postage for your finished ring.
What Makes This Kit Different From Other Ring Making Kits Available?
There may be other kits on the market - but making a ring you'll be proud of really depends on three things:
Quality Tools: The kit contains a professional jeweller's wax file and two double-ended hand-sharpened carving tools. These tools are what professional jewellers use and to have the best experience I think you should too. (I'd like to note, a craft knife (as seen in other kits) is not only more difficult to use but requires a cutting surface, and possibly band-aids / plasters.)
Quality Instructions: The Wax Carving Guide contains step-by-step instructions from start to finish, a Drawing Guide and a series of How-to videos by jeweller, Natasha Kutrovacz.
Quality Casting, Gold Plating & Polishing: We only cast in Recycled Silver and Recycled Gold. Our casting is done locally in Islington. All polishing and stone setting is done in-house. Our plating is done by Elliot-Fitzpatrick, an award-winning precious metal polisher and plater based locally in the Goldsmiths’ Centre in London.
What Will My Ring Be Made Of?
You have three options! You can choose from:
  • Solid Recycled.925 Solid Sterling Silver
  • 22ct Gold Vermeil, which is 4 microns of 22ct gold plated onto solid recycled.925 Sterling Silver
How Wide Can I Make My Ring?
You can choose to make your ring either 5mm or 10mm wide!
How Does It Work?
When your kit arrives in the mail you can follow along with my included Instructions, Online Videos, and start carving! Once you’re finished creating your piece, simply fill out the Ring Form to specify your ring size, selected finish and colour/placement of any stones you’d like set. Then place your ring in the tin provided and use the pre-addressed envelope to mail it back. Please note, the shipping cost for returning the ring is not included. Once I receive your ring I’ll size the ring, set any stones if you choose, then have it cast into the metal of your choice. Finally, I will professionally hand polish the ring to your preference and ship it back to you!!
How Long Does It Take To Make My Ring?
Carving your ring for the first time (with no experience) takes about 1.5 hours or more. This depends on your design in mind and the pace you would like to go. It's very meditative once you get into carving, so you may prefer to take it slow and enjoy that aspect of the process. There is no deadline on when you need to complete your ring and return it.
Once I receive your carved ring back, it will take between 5-10 business days for your ring to be resized, cast in the recycled metal of your choice, polished, and posted back to you. If you have selected Gold Vermeil, it will take up to an additional 5 business days to dip in gold.
If you have any questions, pop me a message!

Hello! Thanks for taking a moment to read about my journey into jewellery making! Jewellery has been my second career after working in the costume department for film and tv. It started as a hobby between jobs and became a serious passion turned side hustle after I took a training course in Wax Carving for lost wax carving in 2015. Not only did I fall in love with the endless limits of creativity in this method of jewellery making, but I enjoyed the therapeutic and meditative qualities of the process.
I am the designer/founder of Anonoma Jewellery and keep a foot in the film world by making custom pieces when needed. I've been fortunate to make jewellery for The Crown, The Rings of Power, House of Dragons, Death On the Nile just to name a few.
In 2020, I created a Ring Making Kit with an at-home guide and series of wax carving tutorials so that I could share this passion of mine with others during lockdown. Following the success and fun that came from the kits, I decided to start teaching workshops! I love introducing this unique, ancient craft to others because I believe creativity is good for the soul, and it gives you the opportunity to create something truly special that you can wear for your whole life and even pass down!
I look forward to meeting you and having some wax carving fun!
