  • 5/5 from Flora Gordon, attended Feb 2025: What a wonderful workshop! Monica is so knowledgeable and patient. It was very satisfying to be able to make a beautiful brush with no prior experience. • 5/5 from Anastasya Martynova, attended Feb 2025: Really enjoyed it and happy with my brush! Learnt a lot in a short space of time. Teacher was friendly and encouraging. Will recommend the class to others!
  • 5/5 from Quyen Phan, attended Jan 2025: Honestly, one of the best craft workshops I've done. The Brixton Remakery is a great organisation that made it affordable for me to attend a brush making class that would usually be completely inaccessible for me. Ever so grateful and the initiative is amazing in that it gathers local people, crafts people, makers. But also, I live in SW nearly all my life and the first time I visited was when I moved to Dagenham. So anyone is welcome, don't have to be local.
  • 5/5 from Donna Hartley, attended Jan 2025: Really lovely class, chilled atmosphere with a knowledgeable teacher. And left with a lovely brush to take home.
  • 5/5 from Sue Parker, attended Jan 2025: Made a wonderful little brush at the remakery. It was super satisfying to do and very well taught. It’s a great space run by excellent people full of knowledge and enthusiasm. Would highly recommend.

The Remakery started 10 years ago as a community space for repairing and upcycling furniture.
Since then we have developed several communal workshops for a range of eco-craft activities, and an exciting programme to link climate action with the empowerment of making with your hands.
Our practitioners have trained at London's top Arts schools, or developed their skills over years of self-discovery.
Our programme is curated by Alice Holloway; A researcher in regenerative fashion with The RCA and London Met university, and Innovate Creative Catalyst grant winning regenerative fashion designer.
The skills we share at the Remakery are proven to improve mental health, as well as change how class attendees see the world. We want everyone to feel empowered to make a difference, and we have seen how learning to make something is often in the first step towards changing something bigger.
