Hi, I’m Nancy. I have been married for 25+ years and am a proud mother of two teenage girls. I’m a qualified Crochet Tech Editor, Crochet Designer, and an addict of all things crochet and run my business, CraftingisourJazz.
How it all began…
Crafting became a source of solace and relaxation for my daughter, who is battling a chronic illness. Seeing her find comfort in crafting inspired me to pick up my needles and hooks and return to my hobby as well. I soon discovered that it provided a much-needed escape from the stress and challenges of living with an illness that affects not only the patient but the entire family.
As my passion for crafting - particularly crochet - grew, so did the recognition for my work. People began requesting custom-made items. I developed my skills and began to design my own patterns. I have been featured in Crochet Now Magazine, Crochet Society 2025 Advent Calendar, Inside Crochet Magazine and Knotions Magazine.
I went on to gain my certificate in Crochet Tech Editing and find the work very rewarding.
Because I love the craft and experience the relaxing benefits of it, I like to share my knowledge and teach beginner small group workshops or one to one sessions in person or online.
