Foraging Fridays: A Seasonal Creative Open-Workshop

Fridays are made for slowing down a little, and I’d love for you to join me for something a bit different. Foraging Fridays: A Seasonal Creative Open-Workshop is about stepping away from the week’s busyness and letting nature guide our creations.When the weather is kind, we’ll take a gentle walk on the common at 5pm to see what the season has to offer, gathering fruits, flowers, vines, and foliage. Whatever we find, we’ll bring it back to the workshop at 6:30pm and see where it takes us. If you’d rather skip the walk, you’re welcome to meet us straight at the workshop, and I’ll make sure there’s plenty gathered for you too. (You will see both times in the booking options.)At 6:30pm back at the workshop, the evening flows quite loosely where you can choose your own creative path. Some people might be simmering jam while others are trying their hand at botanical printing or wreath-making. You don’t need to follow the same path as everyone else — what you make is entirely up to you.We’ll finish with a bit of food and conversation around the fire pit (when the weather’s kind) or the kitchen table, which is often where the best ideas (and connections) happen.If you’d like to get a feel for the kinds of projects we might make, have a peek at my other workshop listings — you’ll see how varied and seasonal they are. Each week brings something new.Mostly, I hope this gives you a little space to pause, make with your hands, and enjoy being part of a creative gathering.A quick note: Our home is shared with two friendly (and sometimes diva-like) dogs. They’ll happily join us on the forage and then potter about while we’re in the workshop. They’re likely to get a bit bored once we’re busy making, but if you sit by the fire pit later, you might just find one climbs into your lap for a cuddle. Read more details
