Fused Glass Panel and Solid Wood Stand Workshop

Design and create your own tall, fused glass panel complete with a wooden stand.

2.5 hours Class size 1 to 8 guests

£58 - £68 (price varies across dates) (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

In this workshop, you'll learn how to create your own stunning glass panel, perfectly sized to catch the light and bring vibrant colour into your home. Your finished piece will be displayed in a solid wood stand.
Draw inspiration from nature - perhaps a wildflower meadow in full bloom or the shades of blue of the ocean. Perhaps your idea of nature is something more abstract - the choice is yours. You'll discover how to work with an array of bright, eye-catching colours and learn various glass art techniques to achieve your desired effect.
As a beginner-friendly workshop, you'll receive step-by-step guidance throughout the creative process, ensuring you feel confident as you develop your piece. You'll work with high-quality materials while picking up techniques that help you understand the fundamentals of glass art creation.
Tea/coffee and biscuits are provided to fuel your creativity!
At the end of the workshop I will take your piece away for fusing in the kiln and it will be ready to collect from the venue in approximately 7 days time.
What you'll get
All tools and materials are provided, along with example work and ideas to help YOUR design.

I’m Sue and my story with glass starts in a very similar way to yours if you are searching here with an interest in glass fusing. I tried a glass taster workshop at the school where I worked and was hooked! I dabbled, I made pieces for friends and then took a deep breath and bought a kiln! Fast forward five years, and here I am sharing my love for glass with others in my workshops, while remembering my beginnings and allowing you to take it at your pace with as much support as you need.
My inspiration is colour! My favourites are blues and greens but glass is sensational in any colour and when it comes out of the kiln, the end result always makes me smile.
