- 5/5 from Ember Quay, attended Oct 2026: I’ve been meaning to start paints again for the longest time and it was such a great way to do it with Josie. She really made us all feel so comfortable to explore our creative ideas and I’d really recommend to anyone! Definitely coming back and coming back with friends such a lovely place to do it at as well with all the plants around and you also get a discount when you attend these events. 12/10 recommend!
- 5/5 from Katharine, attended Aug 2026: Such a lovely way to spend an evening. Josie was so welcoming and spoke to us before hand about what we wanted to get out of the class. She was really great at talking us all through it and had great ideas helping me rescue a painting that wasn't quite working. It was really cool to see the pieces she had been working on and some of the techniques she uses. Oz and the crew at Green on the Lane were so hospitable and it's such a lovely shop. I'm a bit obsessed with plants and Oz helped me pick out a rare, incredibly well priced pink banana plant - with a lovely 10% discount. It's so nice to be able to do these kind of things in your local area.
- 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Aug 2026: Lovely! Very nice introduction that built confidence and didn't make you think you needed to know loads to start painting.
- 5/5 from Olivia Webster, attended Aug 2026: The class was fantastic! Such welcoming staff and teacher, set in a beautiful and inspiring setting. Everything was well organised and Josie led the class in a fabulous way, allowing you to find your own creative flow but being on hand to guide and prompt you as needed. A really great evening letting creativity flow!
- 5/5 from Ellie Devey-Robson, attended Aug 2026: It’s hard to put into words how brilliant this workshop is. It was the most wonderful few hours! I have no art experience, but the 2 people I went with have some and Josie created such an accessible, safe environment for experimenting with different painting styles, and encouraged us to be bold and try new things! I would highly recommend as a way to bring some creativity into your day

Hi, I’m Oz — founder of Green on the Lanes, an indoor plant and lifestyle store in the heart of Harringay Green Lanes. My love for plants began with turning my own flat into a mini jungle, and that passion grew into creating a space where others could bring that same joy into their homes. At Green on the Lanes, we don’t just sell plants — we create experiences. Our terrarium and kokedama workshops are a chance to get your hands in the soil, slow down, and make something living that you can take home and nurture. My wonderful team and I love teaching because it gives people confidence to care for plants, and it’s so rewarding to see someone’s face light up when they create something beautiful. When I’m not running workshops, you’ll find me in the store surrounded by plants, chatting with customers over coffee, chai, or matcha. Green on the Lanes is as much a community space as it is a shop — filled with plants, curated homewares, and the smell of freshly brewed coffee. If you’re looking for a fun, creative activity for yourself, friends, or your team, I’d love to welcome you to one of our sessions. Let’s get growing!
