Create a stunning autumn keepsake in this relaxing and creative ceramic pumpkin painting workshop. Using monochrome watercolour techniques and fine detail brushes, you'll transform a ceramic pumpkin into a beautiful decorative piece inspired by classic blue-and-white ceramics. Guided step-by-step, you'll learn how to build delicate patterns, intricate illustrations and elegant shading using a single colour palette to achieve a timeless handcrafted finish.

Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced crafter, this mindful workshop offers the perfect opportunity to slow down and explore detailed brushwork in a supportive environment. By the end of the session, you'll take home your own hand-painted ceramic pumpkin, ready to display as a unique seasonal decoration that will complement your autumn décor year after year.

  • 5/5 from Ann Scadden, attended Oct 2026: This was a Ggreat class. Perfect speed knowledgeable artisan would definitely recommend. Looking at doing further courses
  • 5/5 from Joanne Wood, attended Oct 2026: Great tutor with clear easy to follow instructions. Very relaxing and looking forward to more workshops.
  • 4/5 from Jocelyn Smith, attended Oct 2026: A lovely mindful session pumpkin painting with great instruction. Not much interaction from me as I was in the zone enjoying myself and trying new creative skills. My only constructive feedback is that the painting is quite detailed so probably not going to finish in session (some people might want to know that as will stop pressure of completing it)
  • 3/5 from Tracey Holmes, attended Oct 2026: Nice rehearsal on paper to create shapes but not started on ceramic surface and will learn how that differs once create time to do that. Disappointed not to paint the pumpkin at all in time available. 5 requests for feedback via text message landed late in evening which was unnecessary.
  • 4/5 from Yasmine Jamil, attended Sep 2026: I enjoyed the class, the teacher was patient and simplified the designs. However I wish a list of requirements like spare paper, kitchen towels, rotating plate etc. and sample designs had been provided in advance. I found it stressful trying to collect them while class was in Progress. Also there were too many paints and brushes if had not had all this not needed stuff the class would not have been so expensive!
  • 4/5 from Yvonne, attended Sep 2026: Kit arrived in good time and had everything needed. Had to reschedule the class at very short notice due to a last minute work commitment and hobbycraft were very accommodating. Have not yet braved painting on the pumpkin as I didn’t feel confident enough but had a go at painting some of the modelled items on paper. Everything seemed very separate rather than building up a picture/scene but I guess that gives us freedom to paint a scene that we want. Some items were a little rushed at the end such as the birds. Am waiting for the video to come through now so I can practise further and decide how i want to proceed and paint the pumpkin.
