Delivered to Your Door

Sit back and relax — your fired ceramic plate and coasters will be delivered to your home within 2–3 weeks.

Join this relaxed, beginner-friendly botanical ceramic plates and coasters workshop and enjoy a calm, creative session inspired by nature. You’ll explore how to imprint plants and flowers into clay to create one handcrafted ceramic plate and a matching pair of ceramic coasters.
Each piece will be uniquely yours, shaped by your own choice of botanical textures and design. You're very welcome to bring along any specific flowers or plants you’d like to use, but no worries if not – a beautiful selection of botanical elements will be provided for you. This workshop is gently structured to keep things easy and enjoyable:
  • Designing your layout – Spend the first hour working with the clay and planning your design.
  • Painting your pieces – Use the second hour to add colour to your creations using underglaze.
Workshops are held at either chillchillcats goodies & craftroom in Leeds Corn Exchange or A Touch of Craft Yorkshire in Ossett.
At Leeds Corn Exchange, you’ll create in a cosy cat-themed independent craft shop surrounded by local makers, artists, and unique handmade goods. Your finished ceramics can be collected from the shop once ready, or delivery can be arranged on the day for an additional postage fee (£6). In Ossett, you’ll enjoy a bright and spacious studio with free parking, a welcoming atmosphere, and tea and coffee available via the honesty box, with your completed ceramics posted directly to you after firing.
Both venues offer a relaxed, friendly environment that’s perfect for unwinding, trying something new, and enjoying a creative experience.
After the workshop, your finished ceramics will be professionally kiln-fired and ready approximately three to four weeks later.
Please note: The Ossett venue is on the first floor and accessed via stairs only.

Hi, I’m Kiu — the artist behind artLaiga Studio.
I run relaxed, beginner-friendly creative workshops across Leeds and West Yorkshire, where enjoying the process is just as important as what you make.
Before founding artLaiga Studio, I worked in art education for over 10 years. During that time, I developed a passion for helping people translate ideas into finished pieces through clear, step-by-step guidance. Whether participants are complete beginners or experienced makers, my aim is to make the creative process approachable, enjoyable, and rewarding.
I love teaching because making allows us to transform ideas and feelings into something you can see, touch, use, or even wear. Every piece is uniquely yours, and seeing people feel proud and happy when their ideas come to life is what keeps me inspired to teach.
Alongside workshops, I create handmade ceramic accessories and homeware, with selected pieces stocked at ChillChillCats Goodies & Craftroom in Leeds Corn Exchange. My sessions are calm, supportive, and pressure-free, with plenty of creative freedom and encouragement along the way.
Workshops are held at various venues across the region, and I also offer workshop delivery at your venue, ideal for team-building events, private groups, community organisations, schools, and special occasions.
