  • 5/5 from Tracey, attended Jul 2026: Gift for my birthday from my step daughter to spend some time together. Am not an artist in any way, shape or form & honestly thought I was going to paint a pre-drawn canvas - was shocked to arrive & find a completely blank canvas but have to say i enjoyed every second of painting - may not quite be a masterpiece- but I’m pretty impressed at what I came home with.

  • 3/5 from Esther Faller, attended Apr 2026: I have been to multiple paint & sip nights and usually the instructors are kind and helpful. This evenings instructor didn’t explain each step very well and when any of us asked for anything, such as fresh water, or a clean palette etc she looked irked and reluctant to provide these things.
  • 5/5 from Leann Strang, attended Mar 2026: Super host who made sure that everyone understood the foundation of the painting and techniques required to build it but also gave those who wanted it the creative freedom and confidence to personalise. Great location with super acoustics meant that she could be heard clearly.
  • 5/5 from Yasmeen Rabindranath, attended Jan 2026: I was given the voucher for my birthday and had never done anything like it before. My friends and I did not have any prior painting experience and yet we all ended up with paintings we are happy to hang up that we did not think we could do. Would recommend.

  • 5/5 from Jennifer Lowe, attended Nov 2024: Teacher and assisstant couldn't have been nicer and made it a fun and creative evening. Every step was broken down and explained well, we were given plenty of time to paint so it never felt rushed. I booked solo as I needed a creative outlet for a stressful week at work. Although I was nervous to go alone, the atmosphere was friendly and warm and I was very proud of the painting I produced.

  • 5/5 from Linda Curran, attended Sep 2024: The venue is very good. The teacher was excellent, she explained everything very clearly. Materials were provided and everything that was needed was there. I look forward to the next one.
  • 5/5 from Jean Nunn, attended Sep 2024: This class was in a pleasant venue. Although it can be difficult to park, there was plenty of space in “The Glass Room”….the section of the pub where we were. It did feel a little cramped in terms of people to table numbers…..the tables were all small so there was limited room…at one point my paint palette early fell off the table end. It was good that we had our paint topped up without question…very helpful. It was also great that we had several examples of The Klimt’s cat theme to look at in order to choose the one we liked best as a guide, at times. It was very useful that our tutor explained about the use of water with the acrylic paint - including use of the brush in order to paint the finer lines of the design, as well as the use of a second brush or help blend the paints on canvas. This was fun. The teacher was lovely. Perhaps spoke a bit slowly to start with, when there was quite a lot to tell us, but this was fine later and the microphone worked well. Her assistant was also very helpful about several things. I had to ask her about a change of board for my “veasel” because one side of the slot was so painted up I couldn’t get my canvas to sit steady!! This was really unhelpful given we were already a bit cramped at the tables and I didn’t appreciate a wobbly easel! The assistant was very kind and tried to find another and trim it, but many were as bad so the result was only a small improvement. I really think many if the veasel pieces need firmly stripping back properly with a very sharp Stanley knife or equivalent, so that the equipment is working properly again. I loved this design and was amazed that, in the end, I managed to paint the cats eyes in an acceptable manner. I also enjoyed creating some garden-like structure within the blended background. Some useful techniques we were taught there and I really had not expected that, so a big thank you to the tutor and her assistant for all their hard work and organisation.
  • 5/5 from Julie Martin, attended Aug 2024: So fun. Really enjoyed it and the turtle is a good challenge. Thank you Kara.
  • 4/5 from Ali Braid, attended Aug 2024: I really enjoyed this class! The turtle was challenging but the teacher was very patient and I am so happy with the result
  • 3/5 from Sharon Robbins, attended Aug 2024: A 10min intro video of the painting beforehand would have been helpful in understanding the process as a lot of time was taken up explaining this. The event over-run as people asked for assistance but my party couldn’t stay any later and so missed out on finishing the painting.
  • 5/5 from Annum Kiani, attended Jul 2024: Great teacher, really fun night. Chuffed with my painting. Husband loved it too. It was our first date night away from the kids this year and what a fun way to spend it. Teacher was so helpful with my questions and coming over to help. We defintely want to come again (just not for the turtle!!!!)
