Our Teen Studio Day is the perfect introduction for teenagers eager to explore the foundations of traditional jewellery-making. This is far more than a simple beads and wire session — it’s a hands-on, immersive experience in real silversmithing.
Step into our dedicated studio and discover the magic of working at a jeweller’s bench. Guided by expert tutors, you’ll learn to use professional tools and techniques while designing and creating your own unique piece of jewellery from scratch.
Throughout the day, you’ll be introduced to essential skills and given plenty of time to practise, experiment, and build confidence. Each session is designed to stand alone, but you’re welcome to return again and again — developing your skills further or exploring techniques in greater depth.
With a maximum of just four students per session, we’re able to offer plenty of one-to-one guidance, ensuring a supportive and inspiring learning environment.
By the end of the day, you’ll leave not only with beautifully finished pieces of jewellery, but also with a range of traditional silversmithing skills — and a truly memorable experience.
Projects to choose from:
Rings, bangles, pendants, or keyrings — with options to add embellishments such as charms, hand stamping, and enamelling.
Skills you’ll learn:
Piercing (sawing) metal, forming and shaping, texturing, soldering, filing, finishing and polishing, as well as working confidently with pliers and hammers. You’ll also explore stamping and enamelling techniques.

What to bring
Please bring a packed lunch with you for a midday break.
Please wear comfortable "work" clothes, with full closed-toed shoes, long hair tied back, and no scarves or big sleeves that could present a hazard. If you wear reading glasses, please remember to bring them with you.
We have ample free street parking in front of the studio.
