Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 4/5 from Jean Sheppard, attended Jul 2026: Really enjoyed our hour class on my new circuit machine and my daughter was able to attend as a guest. The teacher was very good (although she struggled a bit with the available tech equipment at the store) She was able to answer all our questions - would definitely recommend! Thank you.
  • 5/5 from Kelly Macken, attended Mar 2026: I did a critcut worshop, which was great. I had no previous experience of using my Cricut Maker so found it extremely helpful. All my questioned were answered and we went through a lot. I now feel confident and can’t wait to get started.
  • 5/5 from Carol Bailey, attended Oct 2025: The teacher was Bonnie. She was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. We made a save the date card and a gable box. I didnt get a gift card.
  • 5/5 from Gill Goldfinch, attended Jul 2025: This was a smashing one-to-one tutorial. Bonnie was great and answered all my queries in a way that I understood with some great tips and advice. This tutorial has given me confidence to continue with the Explore machine. Been having a play this morning and followed Bonnie's excellent steps with great results - thank you. Gill
  • 5/5 from Janet Smith, attended Jan 2025: Fabulous session. Very informative. Lots of my questions were answered. Steve was very patient. Fantastic machine. Thankyou Steve
  • 5/5 from Lorraine Beest, attended Nov 2024: Really helpful I had bought my Cricut Machine and was having difficulty with it, the workshop was so helpful and knowledgeable
  • 5/5 from Emma, attended Jul 2024: Steve was friendly and knowledgeable. We covered lots of topics because I found the thought of preparing a topic overwhelming! I learnt a lot. Very good value for money but the space needs to accommodate disabilities, luckily Steve got a couple of chairs but really, the cricut is placed on a high counter so stalls should be available. It should mention on the booking the layout, as I certainly couldn't stand for an hour.
  • 5/5 from Maggie Paddison, attended Feb 2024: Friendly & informative & very helpful. Easy to learn from & ask questions. Good suggestions for next workshop too!
  • 5/5 from Jon Carr, attended Oct 2023: Steve was very flexible about the content and ready and willing to answer all my questions so effectively that I immediately bought a machine and feel ready to start immediately. It turned out to be more of a demo than a workshop - given a little more time I would like to have done a little more myself.
  • 5/5 from Charlotte Crowther, attended Aug 2023: Amazing experience! Steve was extremely knowledgeable and tailored the workshop perfectly to my needs. Would thoroughly recommend the workshop experience.
  • 5/5 from Dawn Willis, attended Aug 2023: It was great. Steve was really helpful and informative. Came back with a lovely mug I had made.
  • 3/5 from Lulla Michael, attended Aug 2023: The introduction to how to use the machine was good. An hour seemed to be enough time for a couple of demos of the actual machine. In my opinion there would have been enough time, but it took a few minutes to find the accessory for the demonstration, and then finished a few minutes early because there was another client straight after. It would be better if all accessories were at hand, and you allowed a few minutes between clients so that the full hour is given. The lady delivering the work shop was good and answered all our questions
  • 5/5 from Chloe Shepherd, attended Jul 2023: The man I had was brilliant. Very clear and knowledgeable on how to use the machine. I am really satisfied with the workshop I had today and would recommend it! Thank you.
  • 5/5 from Karen Bowden, attended Jul 2023: Brilliant teacher with lots of patience! Also answered all my questions! Very pleased now just got to do it myself
  • 5/5 from Marla Fernandes, attended Mar 2023: Julie was very nice and patient and explained the maximum she could in a short one hour. I recorded and take notes. We cover practical and theory.
  • 5/5 from Laura Fry, attended Mar 2023: Really enjoyed my workshop. I found the tips with using the cricut software very helpful.
  • 5/5 from Natalie Garrett, attended Feb 2023: This workshop was really great, other than unboxing my Cricut and downloading design space I really was clueless. Steve went through the process of designing and cutting and the different materials. I feel confident that I can now put what I have learnt into action. Thanks for making a scary machine much more usable
  • 5/5 from Nicola Davies, attended Jan 2023: I would recommend this workshop to anyone who is new to cricut. the class was tailored to me, she (sorry can't remember your name) found out what my knowledge was first and what I wanted to learn, answered any questions I had along the way, and gave me lots of tips to make me more confident in using my cricut. Thank you
  • 5/5 from Victoria Sayer, attended Dec 2022: Really good found out a lot of information and answered all my questions will be going back again for more information if needed
  • 5/5 from Dawn Willis, attended Nov 2022: Steve was fantastic. Answered all my questions and more. Total beginner as only just unpacked box. Feel more confident to have a go myself. Came away with the items we made
  • 4/5 from Susan Windsor, attended Oct 2022: Julia was very informative. She showed me how to make a Christmas card via the ipad. Bit confusing, but got there in the end. She also showed me different projects that she had made. There is so much more to learn though, so will probably need to go again.
  • 5/5 from Alison Burke, attended Jul 2022: My tutor was Julia Claxton and I could not have wished for a more patient and friendly person. It was a delightful time and the hour passed so quickly. Julia had a selection of material ready that we might need and struggled through a weak signal to give me the best class ever. She is a real asset to your company
  • 5/5 from Geraldine Chittenden, attended Jun 2022: Thoroughly enjoyed this workshop, Julia was very patient with me and extremely knowledgeable, especially when talking me through various projects using cricut design space. She answered every question I asked and made sure I understood what she meant. The learning area was lovely and light and airy and very quiet. Julia showed me various examples of what can be done using the cricut we didn't need to use the cricut machine as I was more interested in learning about design space. I will definitely be coming back for another workshop once I've practised and hopefully mastered what I have learnt today. Thank you Julia you've given me the confidence to be more adventurous with the Cricut.
  • 5/5 from Sue Collins, attended Jun 2022: The session was really good. I learnt about using the Cricut maker for designing and applying vinyl to fabric. Steve was very clear with his instructions and demonstrations on both the iPad and Cricut. In addition I found out about using the pen for writing which was new to me. I enjoyed the hour and would certainly recommend the 1-1 session which was good value for money.
  • 5/5 from Karen Bowden, attended May 2022: Very patient teacher Now just got to put all her advise into practice! Glad I booked the workshop
  • 5/5 from Cheryl Packman, attended Apr 2022: It was brilliant once again. I asked to learn about SVGs and layering - and that’s what we covered Julia was very patient and clear in her instruction. She is very knowledgeable and I will be back
  • 5/5 from Cheryl Packman, attended Mar 2022: Really enjoyed the class I had today. Julia was very knowledgeable and kept checking I was learning about my chosen topic - that we weren’t doing something I already knew - equally checking i understood Area 1-1 took place in was good. Excellent. I will be booking again
  • 5/5 from Emma Wedgner, attended Mar 2022: Great one to one session with Julia who helped me with all my queries and questions and showed me lots of tips. I really enjoyed it and would recommend to others.
  • 3/5 from Jackie Izzard, attended Jan 2022: The workshops are a great idea and I enjoyed the hour and the teacher was good however I did expect that I would have had the opportunity to use the machine my self I understand she need to run through the basics with the app but then I expected her to select a small project where I could actually produce the project with her over seeing what I was doing unfortunately this did not happen and I never got opportunity to do anything. So I don't think I am much further forward but I will be attempting to start with cutting process this week. Fingers cross that I picked up enough from the workshop unfortunately I learn better by hands on approach. But I think the workshops are a great idea regards Jackie
  • 5/5 from Rose Thompson, attended Nov 2021: Very informative as I was beginner. Helped me to get started using my Cricut joy!
  • 5/5 from Susan Cordingley, attended Aug 2021: I learnt alot today. Covered alot of relevant topics. Really lovely staff member doing the workshop. It has reignited my excitement to go and use my Cricut again. Really great informative session. Thank you.
