In this engaging workshop, you'll learn to handcraft your own ceramic bowl from start to finish. Over two and a half hours, an experienced ceramics tutor will guide you through each step of transforming raw clay into a beautiful, functional piece for your home.
Perfect for beginners, this creative activity offers a gentle introduction to pottery in a supportive environment. With a small class size of just seven students, you'll receive personalised attention as you develop your skills and confidence with clay.
During the workshop, you'll learn essential hand-building techniques and proper clay handling, working at your own comfortable pace. Your tutor will demonstrate each step clearly, offering guidance tailored to your individual needs.

  • All materials for creating your bowl
  • Professional glazing and firing service
  • Expert instruction and support
By the end of this fulfilling workshop, you'll have created your own handmade bowl, which will be professionally glazed and fired. Your finished piece will be ready for collection from the Colindale studio in 4 weeks.
Important note:
  • There is a minimum of 3 participants required before the class can take place.
  • The minimum guest age is 14 years old.
  • Guests under the age of 16 years old, must be accompanied by an adult.
What you'll get
All materials and tools are provided, including glazing and firing of your piece.
What to bring
  • Please wear clothes that you are okay with getting clay on, although it will wash out of most materials.
  • Short fingernails are advisable as this makes working with clay easier.
  • Please bring your own apron with you.
