Discover the art of leather crafting in our workshops, where you can create unique, handcrafted cardholders and personalise them to your liking. No prior experience is required, as you’ll receive full guidance from the instructor every step of the way.
This session lasts between three and four hours. This is a great introductory session to leather crafting. Participants are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks to enjoy during the workshop.
Participants are also welcome to bring their own buckle, which we’ll be happy to install on the belt during the workshop (Maximum belt width: 38 mm, 1.5 in).
The leather provided in the workshop is suitable for belts with a waist size of up to 135–145 cm (53-57 in), depending on the colour. This allows most participants to comfortably create a belt tailored to their measurements, with enough material for a clean and well-finished result.
Throughout the workshop, you will learn essential leather-working techniques, including punching, cutting, edging, skiving, burnishing, stitching, finishing, and embossing. These skills will empower you to create beautiful, durable items with confidence and precision.
The workshops are conveniently located within a 10-minute walk from Eltham train station and a 15-minute walk from Mottingham train station.
We take pride in using only the finest quality full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather sourced ethically and sustainably. Our materials include cow leather from Derbyshire, UK, which is environmentally friendly and ages beautifully; goat leather imported from France, renowned for its durability and elegance; and kangaroo leather from a Derbyshire tannery, which is exceptionally lightweight yet strong.

Hi there! I’m Naoum, and I’m so excited to share the joy of leather crafting with you.
I first picked up leatherworking during the Covid lockdown, and it didn’t take long before I was hooked. Back home in Aleppo, I was always into crafts, especially through my scout group, and teaching others how to make things brought me so much happiness. When I moved to London, I wanted to recreate that magic, and leather crafting was the perfect fit for a small space and big creativity.
In my workshops, you’ll make your own one-of-a-kind leather item. I’ll provide everything, tools, materials, and guidance, and you’ll get to add your own personal touches, like embossing. Whether it’s your first time crafting or you’re already handy, we’ll have a great time creating together.
