The tutorial is designed for crafters of all skill levels, so even if this is your first wreath, you’ll be shown everything you need to know to make sure it’s a triumph. It’s a great way to hone your wreath making skills, with the support of a craft expert on hand to help you along the way.
The Hobbycraft colleague leading your workshop will guide you with tips and tricks, showing you how to layer your wreath design to show contrast and depth with foliage and florals. Enjoy mastering the techniques and sparking your creativity as you try your hand at this relaxing activity.
You’ll come away with the perfect decoration for your home to suit the season! Display it on your front door and impress all the neighbours.

Our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas, and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

- 5/5 from Julia Swann, attended Oct 2025: I needed a new Autumn wreath and decided to make one at the Hobbycraft sessions.. The pack that arrived in store did not have the orange twine for the pumpkins, but a natural colour which was a bit drab. However, I used red flowers etc to match my front door and brighten it up. The tutor was an ex florist, and very experienced, helping me make the best of the arrangement. She was friendly and built rapport, so I had a fun time. I was very happy with my final wreath. A good inclusion, which I had suggested previously, was to attach a hanger, which made it easier to hang up. I thought the time should have been longer, as the cones had to be cut individually from the hessian, then folded and glued together before being attached to the frame. It took some time to make 45+ of them. Also, the pumpkins should have been more dense (wrapped at least another ten times round the hands) as they looked a bit sparse. I must have quite big hands, as my first one, wound round 3 fingers was quite big, so I did the others round two. Despite this, I was very pleased with the wreath and look forward to my next project.

- 5/5 from Julia Swann, attended Oct 2022: Clare, the tutor was excellent; friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I was the only participant so had 1-2-1 tuition, which was a bonus. There was a good quantity of materials and a glue gun all provided in a useful reusable large box. Once I stopped gluing my fingers to everything, it was easy to do! While I was there, Clare also told me about some other instore classes and I will sign up for the Christmas Eucalyptus Wreath. The only negative was the allocated time was only 1 hour. Although I got on quickly, it took me just under 1.5 hours. I am delighted with my wreath, and it is now on my door.
