I got home from work one day as a psychiatric nurse and my husband surprised me with a starter kit to make candles. I made it with difficulty, but when we lit it, it was the best feeling. I forgot all about my work worries.

I then started making candles in nice jars for myself, and a few friends asked if I could make them some to have and sell in their coffee shop. It took off from there. I started making other crafts when covid moved on and then ran workshops with patients and staff as my confidence grew. Due to being so busy I left the NHS. I now run workshops for several charities and have created The Foraging House. My little business has helped me grow as a person and makes me very proud. My beautiful son helps we wen ever he is needed and helps with all the preparations and digital marketing.

Being plastic free and as sustainable as possible are top priorities. I recycle and reuse natural resources, as well as forage for a lot of materials.
