After being greeted by your friendly host, you'll enjoy the opportunity to sample all the lovely fragrances and choose one that suits you, or you can mix and match to create your signature scent. Then, you'll learn how to position the wick so it will not move when the wax and oils are added. After mixing your chosen fragrance oils or essential oils with the hot wax, you'll enjoy some tea, cake, and chat while you wait for the candle to set.

Finally, you'll cut your wick to size and have your beautiful candle ready to take home. You'll have the full support of your talented teacher, who'll make sure you leave the class happy, fulfilled, and with a delightful candle to enjoy or give as a thoughtful gift.

I got home from work one day as a psychiatric nurse and my husband surprised me with a starter kit to make candles. I made it with difficulty, but when we lit it, it was the best feeling. I forgot all about my work worries.

I then started making candles in nice jars for myself, and a few friends asked if I could make them some to have and sell in their coffee shop. It took off from there. I started making other crafts when covid moved on and then ran workshops with patients and staff as my confidence grew. Due to being so busy I left the NHS. I now run workshops for several charities and have created The Foraging House. My little business has helped me grow as a person and makes me very proud.

Being plastic free and as sustainable as possible are top priorities. I recycle and reuse natural resources, as well as forage for a lot of materials.
