5.0 (3)I got home from work one day as a psychiatric nurse and my husband surprised me with a starter kit to make candles. I made it with difficulty, but when we lit it, it was the best feeling. I forgot all about my work worries.
I then started making candles in nice jars for myself, and a few friends asked if I could make them some to have and sell in their coffee shop. It took off from there. I started making other crafts when covid moved on and then ran workshops with patients and staff as my confidence grew. Due to being so busy I left the NHS. I now run workshops for several charities and have created The Foraging House. My little business has helped me grow as a person and makes me very proud.
Being plastic free and as sustainable as possible are top priorities. I recycle and reuse natural resources, as well as forage for a lot of materials.
