I started The Fabric Folk, a creative textile reuse non-profit, because I couldn’t ignore how much perfectly good fabric was being thrown away — both locally and worldwide. I wanted to create a fun, accessible way for people to reconnect with textiles through care, creativity and practical skills.

In my hands-on workshops, I teach sewing, embroidery and mending, helping people rediscover the joy of making and repairing. Whether you’re picking up a needle for the first time or returning to forgotten skills, sessions are welcoming, empowering and rooted in sustainability.

At the heart of The Fabric Folk is a simple mission: to keep fabric out of landfill while supporting mindfulness and wellbeing through craft. Every workshop plays a part in creating a future where nothing gets wasted.
