Much more than a meal and quite different from a traditional cookery school, guests are welcomed into her home to discover authentic family recipes, traditional Spanish cooking techniques, regional food traditions and the joy of sharing delicious food and conversation around the table, all while enjoying the unique atmosphere of life on a houseboat.Please note: This is an authentic home cooking and dining experience, not a professional cookery school with individual cooking stations. Guests participate throughout the experience, taking part in key stages of the preparation while Tere guides them through the recipes and completes some elements to ensure everything is ready to enjoy together. There are plenty of opportunities to ask questions, learn new techniques and leave inspired to recreate the dishes at home.Suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced home cooks, this experience offers the chance to discover authentic Spanish ingredients, traditional methods and the culture and customs that make Spanish food so special.Once the cooking is complete, everyone sits down together to enjoy a leisurely, relaxed meal aboard Tere's cosy houseboat overlooking the peaceful private marina. Sharing delicious food, conversation and genuine Spanish hospitality is at the heart of the experience, making it unlike both a restaurant meal and a traditional cooking class.If guests would like to enjoy a drink with their meal, they can choose from a bottle of quality Spanish Cava or, during the summer months, a jug of freshly made authentic Sangria prepared using Tere's own family recipe. As an experienced private Spanish tutor, Tere can combine authentic cooking with practical language learning in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.Important Information* The experience takes place in a domestic kitchen aboard a beautiful Dutch houseboat.* Guests cook alongside the host and participate in key stages of the preparation rather than preparing every element individually.* A minimum of two guests is required. If only one person books, the experience may be postponed or cancelled.Allergy InformationA beautiful, fluffy and very friendly Ragdoll cat called Tippi lives on board. Although she doesn't take part in the cooking experience, guests with cat allergies should consider this before booking or purchasing the experience as a gift.
