What does the day involve?
The day will run in two halves, session one running 10-12.30pm and session two running from 1.30-4pm, allowing a one-hour lunch break.
The Chocolate School: Chocolate Truffle and Mendiant Making:
You’ll work with expert chocolatiers to craft delicious, professional chocolate truffles and mendiants, learning the techniques needed to create beautiful, mouth-watering treats.

Workshop 925: Silver Ring Making:
In this two-and-a-half-hour session, you’ll design and make two stunning silver rings, guided by our skilled jewellery tutor in a hands-on, step-by-step process session.
You will start by learning how to accurately measure your finger size to ensure a perfect fit. Then, with expert guidance, you will dive into the art of working with silver—mastering essential techniques such as soldering, forming the metal, and shaping your rings.
The session also includes exploring multiple techniques to apply textures and patterns to your rings, giving you the creative freedom to craft truly unique designs.
By the end of the day, you’ll leave with two beautiful, handmade silver rings that you can be proud to wear or gift.
Both classes take place in the well-equipped, welcoming spaces at The Mayford Centre, nestled within Mayford Village (between Guildford and Woking, Surrey), where you’ll receive expert guidance from our friendly tutors.
Whether you are a beginner or have some experience, these courses provide everything you need to create two amazing projects in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Each class runs for 2.5 hours, with a 1-hour lunch break factored in to enjoy lunch in between.

Workshop 925 launched in January 2019 and is based at The Mayford Centre, which is nestled between Guildford and Woking in Surrey.
The workshop was launched by Kirsten Hendrich after several years teaching within adult education facilities, alongside running her own jewellery brand, Kirsten Hendrich Jewellery.
Kirsten often felt frustrated at large class sizes, the lack of specialist equipment, and solid workbenches to allow students to really blossom. So, she began her vision, which was to create the perfect learning environment for jewellers of all levels to come and learn new skills using professional equipment, providing the best chance possible for students to learn the technical and business skills of the trade within small class sizes, enabling plenty of one-to-one tutor support to aid effective learning.
Workshop 925 is also home to an amazing team of tutors who share Kirsten’s passion for jewellery making, craft, and all things handmade. Together they bring you their knowledge, tips, and enthusiasm for the industry in the classes they teach and in the workshop environment.

We allow you to explore all areas of jewellery making, from stone setting, press forming, enamelling, fold forming, keum boo, reticulation, granulation, polishing, piercing, soldering, stringing, etching, to there is a lot to learn!
We understand that each and every student who comes through our doors is different, and we will work hard to help you develop following your unique path.
We are self-confessed tool addicts; therefore, you can expect to find a wide range of tools to use for your projects to help you explore new techniques. We never stop developing our workshop to make it the best it could possibly be.
Most of all, you can expect to find a team of bright, happy, enthusiastic tutors there to help you discover jewellery making in an environment that is relaxed, fun, and encouraging, with a shared determination to help you each succeed.
