Enjoy a relaxed Sicilian food and wine pairing experience at Sicilian NQ in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
The evening begins with a welcome glass of Prosecco and a Sicilian aperitivo, followed by a selection of four good-quality Sicilian wines—two white and two red—carefully paired with traditional regional dishes. Dessert is accompanied by a Sicilian liqueur.
This is an informal dining experience, not a sommelier-led class, tutored tasting or technical wine lesson. The focus is on enjoying authentic Sicilian food and carefully selected wines in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
The experience includes a chef-selected set menu. The same menu is served to the entire table, and guests do not select dishes from the à la carte menu. Food substitutions are not available.

  • 5/5 from Maya Catherine Fitchett, attended Mar 2026: Rosa is the best!!
  • 4/5 from Naomi Flood, attended Feb 2026: Was lovely food and wine Would have liked a written menu so could remember what I had Would have been good with smaller portions of food and a bit more variety rather than a few really big portions A bit more information around the wine would have been good A lovely gift though and very much enjoyed it
  • 5/5 from Jonathan Hargraves, attended Jan 2026: What a wonderful experience wined and dined such a wonderful place would highly recommend
  • 5/5 from Yvonne Sutcliffe, attended Oct 2025: Excellent food and wine, the service was excellent too
  • 4/5 from Michael Daley, attended Aug 2025: Food is good, especially if you like pistachio. Good size portions. Describing it as wint tasting is pushing it a little though. You do get 3 types of wine and they are very generously sized glasses. However, for ‘tasting’ I would have expected more smaller course with paired wines. Also no description of the wine style, background, etc. Friendly staff and enjoyed the meal.
  • 2/5 from Trevor Forsyth, attended Aug 2025: Hosted by a very nice lady who had us booked for a different time from that reserved but who graciously agreed to accommodate us. No evidence of a "wine expert to start the evening with an introduction to Sicilian wine" but we were presented with a nice class of Prosecco before being proffered a food menu and then being asked what sort of wine we'd like. Both courses of the meal appeared fairly instantly for two of us, and both were (at best) below average - in fact we couldn't finish them. This was not a wine tasting course, it was a voucher for a fairly poor meal. Pity - as it was supposed to be a birthday present!
  • 3/5 from Yvonne Hassan, attended May 2025: This wasn't a wine tasting. I would call this a Sicilian meal with wine. We were poured some wine but not given any information so we didn't learn anything about the wine. The restaurant was very small and there were other diners so the staff were very busy. There wasn't a dedicated wine tasting teacher. The starter was good, the main was very bland and the desert was the best bit.
  • 2/5 from Erika Marin, attended Apr 2025: It wasn't a wine tasting at all! We were poured 2 glasses of white and 2 glasses of red wine each and that was it. We thought we would learn about the wines but we're just told the names of the wines. We were served an okay dinner but the whole point of this was to have a wine tasting.
  • 5/5 from Antony Palmieri, attended Mar 2025: Bought as a Christmas present by our son.One of the best presents ever. Attentive, informative warm and friendly waitresses. My wife is Sicillian, it takes a lot to impress her with food but she was. Gift card easy to redeem....just remember to look in spam folder. Antony excellent experience, thank you son and thank you to the staff.
  • 5/5 from Valerie Gray, attended Mar 2025: Excellent food and wine! Great value for money
  • 5/5 from Eleanor Thomas, attended Jan 2025: The wines were all gorgeous (we had ~5 plus a limoncello) and the sommelier who talked us through everything was SO knowledgeable and happy to answer all our questions - I learnt a lot! The food portions were also very generous and the restaurant staff are lovely. We got the early deal for £45 and I’d say we definitely got our money’s worth️
  • 4/5 from Isabella Talbot, attended Jan 2025: The wine tasting was really informative, our teacher was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. Lots of wine was given too, so a good value session. Food portions were very generous but no option to choose your main course, if you're fussy/have specific requests you may struggle.
  • 3/5 from Joshua Veasey, attended Dec 2024: Food was decent and there was quite a lot of wine, but in terms of a wine tasting it was none existent. The notes about each wine pretty much stopped at red white or rose and Italian. You’d learn more about wine by reading the bottle at the supermarket. Enough food and plenty to drink tho so we had a pleasant evening.
  • 5/5 from Jo Gee, attended Sep 2024: Fabulous wine, food, ambience & service, above anticipated. Lovely evening, highly recommend for a relaxing treat ️
  • 5/5 from Thomas Ellis, attended Sep 2024: Great dinner I’d definitely visit again service was amazing and food and wine paired well
  • 5/5 from Magdalena, attended Aug 2024: Great experience of trying different wines from Sicily. Vegan Prosecco to start with followed by two white wines, two red and limoncello to finish it off. Very generous food portions so you won’t be leaving hungry! Nice restaurant and we had a lovely waitress. I booked it for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was a great success. The experience was definitely worth the money!
  • 5/5 from Kellie Warner-Keith, attended Aug 2024: We chose this because it sounded something different, and we hadn't seen each other for ages so thought it would be a nice thing to do. It's a small restaurant tucked away. The host was lovely, really knowledgeable of all the food and wine, and very friendly. The food was amazing and the wines were nice, considering most were vegan. It's a very vegan-friendly restaurant. We aren't vegans but were happy to try anything. I Would definitely recommend it. You receive olives for nibbles, followed by a shared mezze board, followed by a main course, then a shared desert, with a different wine per course.
