Join this relaxing pressed flower workshop in the lovely upstairs space at Dulcimer Bar in Chorlton for a beautifully creative afternoon spent making your very own pressed flower ceramic discs. Starting with blank ceramic discs, you'll select pressed flowers in the colours of your choice and begin building out your design.
You'll experiment with layout and colour combinations before securing your finished design using a specialist glue, sealer, and finish that gives everything a smooth, professional-looking result. Once your design is set, you'll choose from a range of ribbons to create a hoop for hanging, ready for your disc to be mounted on a card and presented in a beautiful gift box.
These discs make wonderful gifts for Christmas or any other occasion, whether you're keeping yours or passing it on to someone special. Expect the class itself to be relaxed, fun, and thoroughly laid-back, with the option to buy drinks from the bar to sip while you create – and if you fancy it, Chorlton's lively bars are right on your doorstep for making a night of it afterwards.

I started working with dried flowers in 2020 when lockdown meant that I couldn’t carry on my work as a photographer. I’d made some dried flower arrangements back in the ‘80s at the kitchen table with my mum, and I guess the love had lain dormant, just waiting to be reignited. Once I started again I knew it was what I wanted to do full-time, and I’ve been building my business ever since and feeling grateful that I get to make things with beautiful dried flowers every day. I work from home in Northenden and I have a little studio/shop in my garden where I sell my products and meet with people to discuss custom arrangements including wedding flowers. I really, really love what I do, working with dried flowers is calming, creative and totally absorbing. Holding workshops enables me to share that joy with others, helping them to create something they love too!
