Pot-Plant Pandemonium: Kids Screenprinting Workshop

Wildly creative kids? Look no further.In this playful printmaking workshop, young artists will design their own brilliant botanical and turn it into a set of colourful screenprinted cards. From spiky cacti to carnivorous flora, anything goes in this joyful session of plant-based printmaking.Children will be guided step-by-step through the screenprinting process, learning how to turn a drawing into a stencil and print multiple bright, bold designs.What we’ll do:

• Dream up an imaginative pot plant
• Cut a stencil from your design
• Pick your favourite colours
• Paint onto the screen
• Pull four fabulous prints to turn into cards or mini artworks

All materials are included, and each participant will take home their finished prints along with cards and envelopes so their creations can be sent, gifted, or proudly displayed. You can also add a frame to make their potty plant a permanent resident in the hothouse.The session is led by a professional printmaker and experienced teacher with a 5-star rating, with clear guidance and age-appropriate tools throughout.This workshop helps children develop:

• Drawing and design skills
• Confidence with cutting and stencil-making
• Colour choice and layering
• An introduction to screenprinting (including safe use of a vacuum screenprinting table)
• Exploring monoprinting and trying out different versions of a design
