Pasta Uliana began in 2017, started by Federico and a fellow foodie friend, who had both upped sticks from Italy to London in their teens, with a strong culinary background in the family and a great passion for artisan produce. Through the years, they learned how to make delicious artisan fresh pasta and decided to leave their full-time jobs to fully commit to their dream job!

They began making and selling fresh pasta at artisanal food markets under the name The H’eggs Company. It was an instant hit and customers lined-up for portions of our bestselling Crab, Lime and Mascarpone Tortelli and bagfuls of Chickpea Caserecce.

They quickly realised they needed room to grow and set up their first brick and mortar space in 2019 on the edge of Bath, two weeks before the first Covid 19 lockdown.

The demand for pasta knowledge grew so much that Federico decided to change focus from selling fresh pasta to hone in on his background in events. He rebranded the business in 2021 to become the Pasta Laboratory and began teaching the people of Bath and beyond how to make authentic fresh pasta at home.

The Pasta Laboratory was an instant hit and has evolved so much that a new home was required. In September 2022 the business moved to the Richmond Arms in Lansdown where the Laboratory can host bigger and better experiences for our guests.
