Guided every step of the way by a professional, award-winning artist, you'll get to know a range of techniques including shaping, texturing, and refining your work. The process is designed to be both relaxing and rewarding, allowing you to switch off and fully immerse yourself in making.Using your own images or sketches as inspiration, you'll create a truly personal piece of art. Your subject can be anything that makes you smile – flowers, animals, fantasy figures, or even portraits. This technique allows you to produce a distinctive artwork in your own unique style. Examples created by the artist will also be available to spark ideas and help you get started.Throughout the two days of the workshop, you'll sculpt your design in clay, refine it using shaping tools, and experiment with a variety of texturing techniques to enhance detail and depth. No previous experience is needed – just show up with a bit of curiosity and a willingness to try something new.Course schedule

• Day 1: Introduction to air-drying clay, discussion of ideas, sculpting your relief, adding texture and refining the relief
• Day 2: Painting your relief and completing the background

By the end of the workshop, you'll not only have created a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted keepsake to treasure, but you'll also feel a sense of accomplishment and a renewed confidence in your creative abilities.In the rare event that you’re unable to bring your own Creative Paperclay, you may use tutors' pack and replace it at a later date. Please note that the studio has steep stairs and is not suitable for wheelchair users.
