One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Nicola Sinclair, attended Jul 2024: I attended the short course to get to know my machine and software. Sarah the teacher was very good and went through everything. I attended the Sheffield store which was easy to find and parking was ample, the store itself was very well stocked and the area for teaching was good. We made an iron on transfer for a tote bag and vinyl transfer to take home. I learnt how to navigate round the software and design projects. The class is value for money. I enjoyed it all.

  • 5/5 from Jaason Warner, attended Nov 2023: Sarah was amazing. She tailored the hour to suit my requirements. I did book a beginner’s as I’ve only been using my machine for a month, but I have been watching a lot of YouTube videos. Sarah soon picked up that I new a lot of what she was doing so quickly changed to a more intermediate version. She was amazing and gave me lots of advice on what I can do with my machine going forward as I gain in confidence. I would highly recommend this one on one to anyone.
  • 5/5 from Angela Morss, attended Jun 2023: Sarah was really helpful even though I know the basics she helped me clear up some sections I didn't understand and what they did and meant thankyou
  • 5/5 from Jan Faulkner, attended Mar 2023: Sam was really friendly and helpful. We worked through a list of questions that I had prepared and completed a few little projects. It was good to get practical experience of the things i wanted to learn and see supplies available. Sam also gave me lots of tips on how to do things and websites that may be useful for me. She also explained how to download things into the Cricut design space area which was something i didn’t know how to do. All in all a really useful workshop session. I booked a double session (2 hours) and would recommend this as it gave me enough time to learn and ask questions.
  • 5/5 from Jan Faulkner, attended Feb 2023: Very useful workshop. I am wanting to buy a Cricut machine but wasn’t really sure which would be most suitable for my needs. I was given lots of useful tips, was able to use a machine myself with friendly and helpful guidance. Once I decide which machine to buy I will come back for a further workshop specific to that machine. It was great that the class is one to one so you can ask as many questions as you like as you go along. Absolutely no sales pressure either which was a refreshing change but I was advised on prices and all the optional extras in store to look at.
  • 5/5 from Paula Gray, attended Jan 2023: Learnt lots of useful tips and advice. Sarah was great and very helpful. Would recommend doing the course if, like me, you're a bit overwhelmed by all the stuff you can do. Thanks Sarah x

I had not used my Cricut maker at all, but now feel I have an insight in to what I can do. The venue was clean & tidy, & the class was out of the way at the back of the store which was nice & quiet. Well done Sarah I would recommend the class. Thank you

  • 5/5 from Gemma Saxby, attended Feb 2022: Sarah was Absoloutely brilliant! So very helpful, sat and listened to me and went above and beyond to help me after a technical internet issue, which wasn’t her fault but she sorted the problem and was apologetic. Thankyou again. I will deffinately come back again just for her service!
  • 5/5 from Beth Bussey, attended Jan 2022: Sarah was fab, I had a 1-2-1 class on learning about the basics of using the cricut machines. I'm more of a visual learner so seeing it done first really helps me, can't wait to learn more. I would recommend this 1-2-1 to anyone buying a cricut machine, Sarah's explanation of how it all works was easy to follow.
  • 3/5 from Julie Walsh, attended Dec 2021: Amelia was lovely. Very knowledgeable but could not answer all my questions. The machine she was using kept crashing when she tried to show me the things I had asked her to help me with. I was able to tell her how to do things. I am a beginner but self taught and very keen to progress. I felt as though I did not get good value for money. This was not Amelia’s fault - all in all a bit disappointed as my son & his wife paid as a gift for my 60th birthday
  • 5/5 from Melody Curate, attended Nov 2021: Sarah was fantastic and explained and answered all my questions perfectly. I was so eager to get home and start my 1st project, I instantly purchased items from the Sheffield store. Thank you for all your efforts and support

  • 5/5 from Falaq Shah, attended Aug 2021: Amazing, I learnt so much and staff were so lovely! I would definitely recommend to anyone
  • 5/5 from Judith Oldfield, attended Aug 2021: Really enjoyed the one to one cricut workshop this morning, Sarah was very patient with me as I'm a total novice! The set up was at the back of the shop which was good, the only downside was that people who were shopping were able to stand and listen and when you've paid for a one to one that's exactly what you want. Overall though have no complaints, came away feeling a bit more confident and knowing that I can go anytime if I have any problems
