One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 1/5 from Debra Roberts, attended Jan 2026: While I appreciate that you have refunded my payment I feel that i m, ust also back this up with feedback from myself. When I arrived at the session your colleague was having difficulty pairing the tablet with the Cricut machine. She gave up on this and I explained to her what I wanted from the session. She began to input into the tablet the design that I needed to create. Speeding on to get the set up complete i had to stop her on several occasions telling her that i didn't understand what she was doing. I did say that I was a beginner and needed a lot of help. Once the design was complete again she tried to link the devices. This failed even though she tried many times. She changed this machine to a different cricut machine. This also did not pair. She asked a colleague to get an ipad. Once brought to the area the whole design needed to be created again, taking some time. By now I was becoming quite anxious and feeling quite isolated sitting in a chair while the colleague tried her best to get the devices working correctly. The devices again took some time to be paired. I questioned why a Cricut 3 was being used when I had stated in my initial booking request that it was a Cricut 4 that I owned, purchased from Hobbycraft and needed help with. The process and tools used with the Cricut 3 during the session was completely different to what I have. So I was being taught to use a machine that I do not have! I also questioned why tablets and ipads were being used when I have a laptop. When looking at the online tutorials, it is advised to use a laptop to access all of the software. The tutor kept telling me that laptops are the best as a lot of features are either hidden, in a different place or not there. Again being taught to do something that is of no use to me. I questioned why the card being used was not the same card that I had purchased a couple of weeks earlier from the same person. I was told that this was a card that they use. So I ask you why the other card was sold to me knowing what i wanted it for. The tutor was able to get one foil print from the machine. This was far below my expectation and quite frankly a joke. I have attached an image of the finished product alongside what i wanted to produce. By this time I was so stressed that I had enough and told the tutor that I was going to leave and asked for a refund as the session did not deliver what I was expecting, to be told that refunds are not available and I had to contact customer services. I left and went to speak to the manager who listened to my complaint. He agreed to contact customer services on my behalf and a refund was generated. On reflection if a 1:1 tutorial is offered as a service, I would have expected that I would have been able to leave the session with the skills needed to use this machine independently. Sadly this was not the case. I look forward to your response.

  • 5/5 from Sue Coleman, attended Aug 2021: As a new owner of a cricut machine and not having a clue how to start, decided on attending the workshop to get me up and running. It was well worth it! Ellis, my tutor, being an avid crafter herself, as I discovered, took me through the basics but also checked what elements I was interested in and concentrated on them. It was not only informative but very personalised to suit my needs. I was given the opportunity to practice as all the equipment and supplies were readily available, and I left with a tote bag which I had successfully embellished with heat transfer vinyl. I really enjoyed it and will be booking further sessions with Ellis, to extend my knowledge of the capabilities of the Cricut craft Would highly recommend the workshop to anyone who is daunted by the prospect of learning a new machine/craft and like me, dislike trawling through hours of online instructional video's. Thanks Ellis
