One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Tola Sarumi, attended Jan 2025: My 1-2-1 was brilliantly tailored for myself and my specific requirements. I purchased a Cricut Maker 3 and thoroughly enjoyed learning how to create my own sewing patterns and how to use the machine. Anita is the BEST teacher, really informative and super lovely. I cannot wait to start using my machine and will definitely sign up for another 1-2-1. In addition to this, I think it would be great is MK HobbyCraft could hold a 6 week Cricut course.

  • 5/5 from Julie Giles, attended Jan 2024: Anita was lovely. So helpful. The session followed my needs. All materials were supplied. Venue was Milton Keynes and will definitely book another session soon. My only gripeI didn't write everything down and can't recall some methods! ‍️
  • 5/5 from Judith Henderson, attended Jan 2024: The tutor was great and explained everything very well. I would definitely book another session if and when i have more questions. Thank you
  • 4/5 from Susie Bay, attended Jan 2024: My one-on-one Cricut session with Sue was extremely useful. Having asked me how I thought I would be using a Cricut, Sue talked me through the features of the various models. Sue then demonstrated the Cricut Explore 3 by producing a sentiment, such as I might want to produce for cardmaking. Before I purchase a Cricut, I now need to do some more research on YouTube to figure out the various ways in which I could use a Cricut for both cardmaking and scrapbooking. The experience was fabulous value for money.
  • 3/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Jan 2024: Sue is clearly very knowledgable about crafting and understands how the Cricut design space works. Being new to Cricut, and our Cricut Joy Plus, there was a lot to take in. Felt we came away with a better idea of what was possible and the pitfalls.
  • 5/5 from Morela Toia, attended Dec 2023: The workshop was so fun and interesting, the teacher very skilled and nice, I wanted to learn a lot but the time was short specially when you know nothingI will definitely come back. I want to thank Annie for her patience with me and for staying extra time to teach me and for finishing a wonderful project together.Much appreciated

  • 5/5 from Amina Idowu, attended Nov 2023: Sue is such a fantastic & knowledgeable person. The venue was and it has the right materials for the lesson. The experience was good value for money. I learned about my Cricut space, how to use the tools. What I like the most is learning to use the resources available on Cricut to improve my creativity
  • 5/5 from Eloise Bodimeade, attended Oct 2023: Enjoyed the one to one @ Milton Keynes store & came away feeling very confident about using the cricut. Anita was very thorough with the demonstration and has great knowledge about cricut and stopped at each stage asking whether we understood it so far. The Workshop was great value for money and we will definitely be booking another one.
  • 5/5 from Neena, attended Sep 2023: Anita at MK was awesome. I booked this workshop to get an insight on cricut machines and decide which one would be best value for my business purposes. Anita was very knowledgeable and patient she even gave me hands on experience with a mini project we did on the spot. Thank you
  • 5/5 from Marianne Adams, attended Jul 2023: Good starter lesson for somebody who has no idea what she wants to do but then came away with a million ideas.
  • 4/5 from Eve Broomfield, attended Jul 2023: Tutor was very knowledgeable and had alot of experience with the Cricut machine and Design Space.
  • 5/5 from Teresa West-Robinson, attended May 2023: I have just attended a fabulous workshop for using my Cricut Joy, Anita was absolutely brilliant, she was patient and knowledgeable, answering all of my questions (of which I had many!) I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

  • 5/5 from Angela Sanders, attended Feb 2023: Anita was extremely welcoming and didn’t tire of my never ending questions. Making my card was fun and I left Hobbycraft with a cricut maker 3. I would certainly recommend a one to one.
  • 5/5 from Mrs Morris, attended Feb 2023: Thank you for a super session! Great to see and use the Circuit machine in action.
  • 5/5 from Betsy Hyacinthe, attended Feb 2023: Loved Anita, very educative and she knew exactly what she was talking about, engaging and very welcoming
  • 4/5 from Glenda Dalton, attended Feb 2023: I think it was a difficult workshop for the tutor to pitch as I wanted an overview rather than specific advice as I was trying to ensure that the cricut I purchased was the correct one. The tutor was absolutely lovely clearly very skilled with lots of experience and patient and was very generous with her time. It was probably a little too much information but that’s down to me having never used the machine. I think it would have been better for me to have had some advice about purchase, practised at home and then come to the workshop with particular projects in mind. This is what I plan to do.
  • 5/5 from Holly Lowe, attended Jan 2023: Anita was beyond helpful! Every question I threw at her, she had the answer to. Although the workshop was only an hour, I didn’t feel rushed at all and we even went over by a little just so we could cover all the things I had to ask. I’m very new to the Cricut world and was slightly intimidated by the machine on my desk but now I feel like I’m totally ready to get crafting! Highly recommend this workshop. Thank you so much Anita!
  • 5/5 from Jackie Patel, attended Jan 2023: Very useful, as a novice Cricut user i went in knowing very little and emerged knowing a great deal more. Thank you

I was more interested in learning about t-shirt infusible ink and vinyl and Anita explained everything so well. She catered the 1-2-1 session as per my interest. Thank you so much. Will definitely book another one.

  • 5/5 from Mamuna Karim, attended Aug 2022: My daughter loved her session with Anita at Milton Keynes and found her to be extremely experienced and helpful in explaining how to use the Cricut machine. Anita was very accommodating and went above and beyond to help answer all our questions. I would highly recommend this class. Thank you
  • 3/5 from Arlene Harrison, attended Aug 2022: Anita was extremely helpful but as I had gone specifically to find out about the Cricut expressions machine that had been donated from a will, she had no knowledge of the old but unused machine that I had. She helped as much as possible and showed me the new cricut possibilities. On the whole I think ad very disappointed as I had given the type of machine that I had when applying for help Arlene harrison.
  • 5/5 from Mayra Torrado, attended May 2022: Anita was very thorough and gave us lots of useful advice, she guided us in our hands on experience with a small project which was exactly what we were looking for. She was very helpful and polite. We would highly recommend the one-to-one sessions.
  • 5/5 from Gemma Floyd, attended Apr 2022: Anita was amazing, she helped me a lot but so much to learn I’ll deffo be going back.
  • 5/5 from Melba Dominguez, attended Mar 2022: Anita is great! Explained well - brief and clearhardly asked questions as she mentioned it already. would recommend to friends to attend workshop too :-) the only downside is the time. its is too short to know and demonstrate everything about cricut and also the availability of the materials to be used. like no balloon pump for the balloon to inflate in order to demonstrate how to transfer the vinyl in the balloon.
  • 4/5 from Adam Goldberg, attended Mar 2022: I am happy I tried the workshop and enjoyed it. Anita was very patient with me, a total novice! Lovely lady and passionate about her job. I will try a group workshop another time. I recommend the Milton Keynes store wholeheartedly.
  • 5/5 from Mrs Bloomer, attended Feb 2022: Anita was my teacher and she was very helpful, knowledgeable and great at explaining the differences between using Iron-on and infusibles. She even stayed calm when a mechanical issue meant we had to swap to a different Cricut.! I felt confident to try things at home afterwards. And have now made several items. Many thanks.

  • 5/5 from Rose Davy, attended Jan 2022: My tutor, Anita, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I have come away with such a lot of information and feel able to make good use of my Cricut Maker now.
