One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Location Wallsend Class size 1 on 1   £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Nicola Anastasi, attended Aug 2023: The one to one was brilliant. Very informative. I had a good basic understanding of how the Cricut worked; however Sarah, the teacher still managed to learn me quite a bit. The options on what to learn were great as I had questions about various aspects (all answered well I may say). Very helpful.
  • 5/5 from Jacqueline Miley, attended Jul 2023: Very good. Joanne was very informative. Helped me a great deal. Thank you very much
  • 5/5 from Samantha Thompson, attended Jun 2023: Joanne was great, friendly and knowledgable and full of useful hints and tips! Inspired to try some of the suggestions she made.
  • 5/5 from Lorna Hardy, attended Dec 2022: Hi lovey lady took time time to show me Lovely way of teaching amazing Would definitely book another work shop
  • 3/5 from Julie Jordan, attended Dec 2022: The lady was excellent in her knowledge, but had to rush from a previous Craft session to come to me, a little over the appointment time. I was not offered a chair/stool to sit on, as this was an hour’s session. I do have health conditions, which made this hard for me. I also expected it to be a bit of hands on, but it was all done by the member of staff. There’s a lot of information to take on board when it’s all new to you and I expected a couple of hand outs to trigger your memory once you got home. I feel now that I should have just gone on a group one, as it was on the shop floor where shoppers were stopping and having a chat with the member of staff, which I totally understand the fact that she couldn’t ignore them. I wouldn’t book another one to one session!
  • 5/5 from Sheila Thompson, attended Oct 2022: Had a lovely time with a lovely lady who explained everything in detail that I needed to know. Answered all my list of questions and I now feel I can understand cricut a lot better than I did. Thankyou.
  • 5/5 from Gemma Jay, attended Sep 2022: Very knowledgeable and a great opportunity to ask specific questions and tailor the session to my requirements.
  • 5/5 from Katrina Wilkinson, attended Aug 2022: Excellent and informative workshop, I now feel confident to get on with my projects. Thanks
  • 3/5 from April Averion, attended Jun 2022: The lady who did the workshop was nice and lovely but I felt like I wasted money and would rather watch youtube than go to workshops.
  • 5/5 from Pauline Dudman, attended May 2022: Joanne, at the Silverlink store, was brilliant. I had a beginners Cricut session last week and then another Cricut session this week. Both workshops were fun and informative and I went away having useful knowledge to get me started in the world of ‘Cricut’. Feeling more confident in using my machine, I sat last night and made a jubilee t-shirt. If you’ve bought a Cricut machine, or are thinking of buying one, I would recommend the workshops. Thank you, once again x
  • 5/5 from Janice Heaton, attended May 2022: Brilliant tutorial. I came away feeling so much more confident to tackle projects. Can’t wait to get started.
  • 5/5 from Carol Allen, attended May 2022: Had one to one cricut lesson with Joanne, was very enjoyable and showed me loads of things I needed and some extras. Very easy to follow and would highly recommend these classes. I feel much more confident and looking forward to trying things for my self

  • 5/5 from Debra Carr, attended Apr 2022: Teacher Faye very good knew what she was doing explained the different processes and answered all my questions work area very cluttered but everything else was fine
  • 5/5 from Elaine James, attended Mar 2022: Session was really relaxed and informative and I learned lots of new techniques and helpful tips. I was able to ask all of my questions, thank you As it takes place on the shop floor, the interruptions from customers asking the teacher general queries was a bit off putting - a screen, or polite notice might help!

  • 5/5 from Susan Young, attended Sep 2021: The teacher was amazing very friendly and helpful, gave me some great ideas when I came away, value for money was really good i did 2 projects with matt while I was there and all materials were provided for me.
