One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Barbara Fry, attended Aug 2026: Shelley was great fun as always. It's a shame that ClassBento is such a rubbish booking system!
  • 5/5 from Barbara Fry, attended Oct 2025: Shelley was great fun and is a good teacher. We learned together how to make the best stickers using the various Cricut sticker products and my hour simply shot by as we worked happily side by side.
  • 5/5 from Barbara Fry, attended Sep 2025: Shelley had taken the trouble to get permission for us to work at her desk top computer in the back office to achieve the Cricut technique that I wanted to learn. We spent a most enjoyable hour + together.
  • 5/5 from Angela Carpenter, attended Jul 2025: I learnt a lot from this workshop. I really didn't have a clue how to use my machine but I have come away with knowledge to use it. The person running this was amazing
  • 5/5 from Barbara Fry, attended Jul 2025: Shelley and I spent a productive hour together. She showed me how to create a multi-layer iron-on design. She also showed me how to save and use a Cricut SVG image from pictures taken from another source. I've taken lots of notes and will have a go at home.
  • 5/5 from Barbara Fry, attended Jun 2025: This was my 2nd 1:1 Cricut workshop with Shelley and we continued tuition surrounding infusible ink. I took my own iPad with me to work on a design so that I could carry on with the learning at home afterwards. It was most helpful that Shelley was able to show me tips and tricks on my own Cricut software screen. We've put another date in our diary to carry on working together. Shelley was able to provide the infusible ink paper and demonstrated the heat press so, between us, we created an item I could take away from the lesson.
  • 4/5 from Lindsay Barson, attended Mar 2025: Learnt several things about my Cricut that I was unaware it could do. Shelley was a very knowledgeable teacher Venue was fine but we were interrupted a few times by shoppers wanting to know where things were. Maybe a sign saying ‘lesson in progress’ would deter this
  • 5/5 from Jess Wrs, attended Jun 2024: So grateful for all the help given regarding my Cricut. Wish I had booked one earlier. will definitely be booking more. Thank you.
  • 5/5 from Mrs Susan Sabatakakis, attended Mar 2024: Training on Cricut maker. Instructor was polite, clear and helpful. She was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions on how to Cricut using card. How to slice, make a box, perforation and what blade and materials to use. Definitely value for money.
  • 4/5 from Barbara Fry, attended Mar 2024: This was a refresher workshop for me with some helpful tips that I'd not picked up previously. The teacher was knowledgeable and enjoyed showing me a variety of things as they cropped up during our hour together. We touched on a variety of topics.
  • 4/5 from Sommer, attended Feb 2024: Enjoyed my workshop today thank you. Unfortunately the cricut software in-store wasn’t connecting correctly to the machine when carrying out demos This was a little frustrating; however this wasn’t the assistants fault, and we did still manage to cover a lot of topics and I now feel confident about giving my cricut a go at home. Well done to the teacher and thank you for being so helpful and encouraging me to be inspired. You’ve shown me examples of your work and I’m looking forward to being creative.

  • 5/5 from Jessica Dye, attended Jan 2023: Had a really great session today with Fran. She was really helpful and gave some great advice. We talked through Design Space which was my main query. I knocked 1 star off for the cost as didn’t use any materials. However added it back as I was there longer than the hour. Time certainly flies when having fun and I was. Am looking forward to designing my first card and put into practice everything I learnt today. I would thoroughly recommend.
  • 5/5 from Treanne Miller, attended Jan 2023: Very informative - let me take home the product demonstrated which was really nice! Worker was happy to go over all the products I’d like to specialise in and regularly checked if I had any questions
  • 5/5 from Kim Slocombe, attended Jan 2023: Have spoken to Shelley on previous occasions so was glad to have her as my tutor today. I have used Cricut before but not using an iPad and it’s been some time since my last use. I really needed a refresher on how to use Design space with the iPad too. Shelley took me through the menu and explained again what each feature does and how best to use it. I had listed a few questions and she had no problem supplying the answers. We also looked at how I could use Procreate (another software) to interact with Cricut so that was very useful. Shelley explains things well and is very patient when I needed clarification. She is an excellent tutor and is full of advise. Always pleasant and welcoming. Please pass on my thanks to her once again

  • 4/5 from Alan Martin, attended Jul 2022: I met with Shelley at 9.00am as arranged at the Farnborough store. Shelley answerd a number of question I posed regarding the merits of both Cricut Maker3 and Camio4. I am particularly interested in seeing how well Maker 5 could cut natural wood veneers. Shelley then attempted to comence the demonstration but unfortunately the store internet was down and the demonstration had to be abondoned. On the strength of the answers to my questions I took a risk and purchased a Maker 5. I have since managed to cut veneers on the machine and have satisfied myself that it should meet my requirement once I have got mto grips with Design Space. I would undoubtedly benefit from a session with Shelly reqarding the use of Design Space. Shelley did her very best to answer my questions under difficult circumstances, the fact that I bought a machine, without seeing it demonstrated, perhaps says it all.
  • 5/5 from Sally Hagemann, attended Jun 2022: Paula is just amazing. She puts you at ease straight away. She is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I enjoyed my lesson on how to make stickers with my Cricut

  • 3/5 from Kim Knight, attended Apr 2022: the member of staff was very friendly, just a shame the tablet didn't connect to the Cricut machine, so I didn't get to see it working.
  • 5/5 from Valerie Carrington, attended Mar 2022: The demonstrator Shelly was excellent. She did a good demo and was able to answer my questions. One problem occurred when a shopper questioned Shelly about the Cricut. She dealt with it very well. This could be avoided if demo area was in a dedicated area away from other shoppers.
