One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Emma Perry, attended Aug 2026: Great teacher who answered all my questions in an easy way that i could follow
  • 5/5 from Karen Scott, attended Mar 2026: My instructor was friendly and very knowledgeable, would definitely recommend and go back in future
  • 4/5 from Chelsea Fairholm, attended Nov 2025: Evie was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable, a good overview of the machine, software and accessories with all questions answered, it allows for an informed decision on whether to make a purchase. Loved that we could take away what we made on the day.
  • 5/5 from Sally Coultas-Paul, attended Aug 2025: Very friendly teacher who gave me plenty of time and information. I hadn't bought a Cricut cutter at that point and she did push a bit too hard to sell me one, which I did end up buying and I'm now trying to get my head around using it. If anything, I would like to have been able to play with the software a bit more whilst I was there, rather than her demonstrating, as this would have given me more instruction and would have made life a lot easier, not to mention less frustrated, when I got home with my new toy. All in all though, the lady was lovely and I did enjoy the afternoon, it was definitely worth doing
  • 5/5 from Dawn Burnham, attended Jun 2025: What a lovely hour spent learning the basics. Had a little play and was very pleased with the items I made. I will probably go back for another hour when I need someone with lots of experience to help. Thank you Eloise
  • 5/5 from Bradina Freedman, attended Dec 2024: Eloise was extremely knowledgeable, patient and attentive and provided some great advice, hints and tips to get the most out of my machine. Had a lovely time, very happy. Thank you.
  • 5/5 from Samantha Watkins, attended Aug 2024: I had a 1-2-1 in store class with Evie at Rugby to help me with Cricut design space. I am a complete beginner and so had many questions. Evie was very patient, going over things again if I needed to, enabling me to write things down for future reference. I left the store with a much better understanding of how design space works, and can’t wait to have a go. Thank you
  • 5/5 from Sarah Hood, attended Jun 2024: Covered all my questions well Explained and showed me every step I needed to take
  • 5/5 from Mary Groocock, attended May 2024: The canvas was explained very well and the teacher was extreamly knowledgeable. It was differently worth taking a 1-1 class. Highly recommended if you are new or need help with the Cricut
  • 5/5 from Kay Sumpner, attended Nov 2023: Very friendly and knowledgeable tutor. Could perhaps have done with a chair - it was a long stand. The tutor covered enough to help decide which machine to buy and answered my questions thoroughly. I shall probably book another session once I have my machine.
  • 4/5 from Joy Mitchell, attended Nov 2023: Had clear instruction and demo. Would have ideally liked to work on a Cricut maker with laptop rather than iPad as design space is set up differently. Would be good to have a quiet space where you can sit down for demo rather than in the middle of the store.
  • 4/5 from Selina Vegad, attended Oct 2023: Evie was very helpful and gave me quite a lot to think about! Particularly potential upgrade to a more up to date Cricut with lots of additional applications/possibilities!

  • 5/5 from Penny Mosavian, attended Aug 2022: It was a great experience and the trainer was lovely - very knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you!
  • 5/5 from Janice Prescott, attended Aug 2022: Eloise was extremely knowledgeable and took me through the steps I needed to know to give me the confidence to have a go at home. Thank you. I would have preferred to have been able to sit, as standing for an hour beside the tall work station wasn't ideal. A great idea of Hobbycraft's to make these sessions available - thank you!
  • 5/5 from Victoria Sumner, attended Jul 2022: Excellent young lady Who had so much patience and very informative thank you.Elli had some much information to give.
  • 5/5 from Ruth Moring-Beale, attended Jun 2022: Excellent course. Eloise was great at showing me around the Cricut Maker software & really me helped me get to grips with some basic concepts.
  • 4/5 from Helen McDonnell, attended Jun 2022: The teacher was very approachable & was knowledgeable on the topic. The possibilities are so vast that it would be impossible to cover them all in the alloted time but certainly got an insight into what could be achieved & I have been inspired. It was also interesting to hear that the sessions can be very specific to accomplishing one goal. I suspect that as a complete novice, once I have had some experience it might prove useful to have another session. That, in itself, implies that there was value for money. The one to one element was very key. It was also good to that the session was about what I wanted from it rather than an opportunity to upsell add ons.
  • 5/5 from Kerre Chapman, attended May 2022: The lady was really knowledgeable with regards the app which is why i bought the class. I have a cricut joy and i just couldn't get to grips with the app. after having a chance to talk it over with the lady I now feel confident with the cricut and app as a whole. I do believe it was well worth the money I paid for the class. not only was it a 1-2-1 which was really good but the lady helped me with the project i was stuck on. The vinyl was provided with was great also. All in all I'm very impressed
  • 4/5 from Natalie David, attended May 2022: I had booked this workshop to try the cricut for the first time to see if it was worth the investment. I learnt how to operate the basic commands on the cricut machine, it may have been over ambitious to think we could fit in as much as we did. Although we covered a lot of different things, I am not sure it was enough to convince me to buy a cricut machine. I was disapointed that I did not try the machine myself but I think it is because we were trying to cover as much as possible. the venue in the store was ok as it was quiet, we were only disturbed in the last 10 minutes by other customers who were eager to start their one to one.
  • 5/5 from Megan Skinner, attended Apr 2022: Judith was lovely and very good at explaining all the features of the Cricut maker and demonstrated a wide rang eof materials. I would recommend the workshop.
  • 5/5 from Sue Winton, attended Mar 2022: Ellie was fantastic covering everything thing I had asked for plus lots, lots more. Lovely to have someone who knows their stuff and explained it so well to me as a first time Cricut owner. Would totally recommend it, great value for money. Thank you Ellie
  • 3/5 from Louise Mann, attended Mar 2022: I am a complete novice to cricut and I felt that it would have been better with a quick overview of my machine at the start of the hour would have been good. I wanted to learn about cutting card cake toppers and printing stickers for my business and this was covered, but I felt the hour was disjointed and so I will need to do more research myself. The instore wifi was not great so the laptop being used to demonstrate was buffering.
  • 5/5 from Clair Hutchings, attended Feb 2022: Great knowledgeable teacher, very friendly. I learnt how to make a card and engrave some acrylic. Would love to spend a full day learning.
  • 5/5 from Caroline Adams, attended Feb 2022: Great workshop! I learnt so much from Ellie in the Rugby shop! Thank you Ellie! ️️️️️
  • 5/5 from Sandra Austin, attended Feb 2022: Good tuition- answered my questions and gave me lots of tips. Gave me tips on going forward as well and materials to buy
  • 4/5 from Gemma Fenton, attended Jan 2022: Good class! I don't have a cricut machine and was shown the basics of what it can do with demonstrations on the areas I was most interested in. The teacher had great knowledge and was shown the different matts, pens, cutters etc.
  • 4/5 from Carol Bradshaw, attended Jan 2022: Teacher was good, internet died which wasn’t good. Instead of standing for an hour at the machine it would have been nice to sit at a desk.
  • 3/5 from Kellie Bench, attended Nov 2021: I turn up to be told Oo did they not call you? I was like who They said head office we have not internet We are having a bad day I said well I have plan my day around this … after a bit of a faff we were good to go, the girl was sweet I was expecting to be sitting down not standing at the table thought it would of been set up for me to have a go but it was not I did learn a few things which was good, over all ok I think the hole thing Internet not working though her off.
  • 5/5 from Joanna McKenzie, attended Oct 2021: Louise was a great teacher. She took the time to find out what I wanted to learn and was extremely patient. Since the class I've been able to try out my new skills and produce some fantastic cards for my business. Thank you.
