Hi, I’m Amy, the florist behind MillieBuds, a wedding and event floristry business based in Stockport!
My love for floristry comes from the magic of taking beautiful flowers and turning them into something that makes people smile. I completed my Level 2 Certificate in Floristry at Tameside College, and since then, I’ve been building my business around what I love most: creating bold, colourful and personality-filled floral designs.
I’m particularly passionate about breaking away from the traditional and embracing colour. I believe flowers should be fun, expressive and a little bit unexpected! Whether I’m creating wedding flowers for couples who want something completely unique or helping someone make their own Christmas wreath, I love seeing how creativity can bring people joy.
For me, floristry isn't about everything being perfect. It's about experimenting, playing with different textures and colours, and creating something that feels like *you*. That's exactly the approach I bring to my workshops.
I love the idea of giving people the chance to slow down, get creative and enjoy making something with their own hands. You absolutely don't need to be a natural-born creative or have any floristry experience to join in. I'll guide you through the process, share my tips and help you create something you'll be proud to take home.
And, of course, Christmas is the perfect excuse to get a little bit crafty! There's something lovely about spending time making your own wreath, surrounded by beautiful seasonal materials, and leaving with a handmade decoration ready to bring some festive cheer to your home.
When I'm not working with flowers, I'm kept busy being a mum to my two little boys. Running my own business alongside family life has taught me just how valuable it is to make time for yourself, try something new and enjoy the little things.
I'm so excited to share my love of floristry with you. Whether you're coming along with friends for a festive afternoon or simply fancy trying something different, I want you to leave feeling proud of what you've created — and hopefully with a little more love for flowers, too!
