Hi, I create since I remember. As a child, like many girls, I painted princesses everywhere, including children's books! At the age of 10 or 11 I've found my fascination in designing fashion, to finally discover soon after my big love to draw portraits, flowers, but also making small sculptures of human's heads using playdough. Not surprised I have chosen sculpture as my diploma subject in Fine Art Collage!

After many life twists, graduating with MA in Sociology, working in various professions (just to mention restaurant staff, seller, social worker, analyst etc.), I've found out there's nothing I want more than create, and that was the beginning of my professional artistic path started back in 2013.

People's faces, dogs and cats have been always my favourite subjects to paint.
For many years I did commissioned portraits and sold paintings worldwide giving joy to my customers.
The most remarkable commission I've done several years ago painting portraits of three cancer patients for Texas Oncology Clinic. They are still gracing the hallway of the clinic getting attention and bringing smile to cancer suffering patients and their families. This is the best gratification artist can get!

Although I love to paint realistic portraits of authentic people from their photographs, I've realised that painting imaginary emotional portraits is even more fascinating to me, since it gives me more freedom in expressing my own emotions.

I am passionate in restyling vintage furniture, what I do professionally since 2017 (being known as Mal of Chameleon's House), although I recon my first attempts to paint furniture when I was 17!
Having artistic skills helps in this business, making me capable to create complex finishes on furniture, like old patina effect, distressed or chippy paint look but also paint original artworks on vintage furniture to enhance the look and give character to the piece.

From several years I collaborate with small company located in the US printing my female portraits on decoupage paper. Thanks to this collaboration my artworks have been used by many furniture artists to decorate vintage furniture projects.

Being told by my daughter that I am a great teacher I've decided to share my artistic skills with others.
In last years, I have given watercolour lessons to my daughter's friends, and from 2023 I regularly give private portrait drawing lessons.

Since I have gathered multiple skills over the years (pencil and charcoal drawing, watercolour, acrylic and mixed media painting, photography, sculpting, furniture refinishing just to mention few) I have decided to share my experience with broader audience hoping you will enjoy getting new skills.
