I'm Noelle, owner and maker of a small handmade Macrame business based locally in Manchester. I’ve been passionate about all things macrame for many years, I was a very young child in the 70s when macrame was very popular, and I’ve been passionate about 70s fashion and décor ever since.
I started out making macrame for myself many years ago and posted a few pieces on my Instagram. My friends kept commenting on how much they liked them and asked if I would make a piece for them -- that’s how Manchester Macrame came to be, and it’s just grown organically since then.
I was then contacted by a company to deliver a workshop and absolutely loved it -- I got the bug! I love to meet new people and share my knowledge and skills. I’ve been building the workshop side of the business slowly since then.
I make everything by hand and use only 100% recycled cotton cord so it’s very ethically sourced, sustainable and environmentally friendly.
