What you'll do
Join this life drawing class at Red Arch in Manchester and enjoy a relaxing evening of sketching in the vibrant Green Quarter.Whether you're a seasoned artist or haven't picked up a pencil since school, these monthly sessions are all about slowing down and connecting with your creative side. It's a low-pressure, social environment where you can appreciate the beauty of the human form while meeting like-minded people in a welcoming atmosphere.Everything you need to get started is provided, including all drawing materials, so you can just show up and begin. If you have a particular set of pens or paper you love, you're more than welcome to bring them along too. During the break, you'll be served delicious tapas to keep your energy up, which is all included in your ticket. Feel free to grab a drink from the bar or help yourself to complimentary water as you settle in.The evening is designed to be flexible and chill, fitting easily into your week:
- 7:00pm – Arrive, collect your materials, and find a comfortable spot to settle down.
- 7:30pm – The session begins with the model performing a series of short poses ranging from 2 to 15 minutes. Don't worry if you're running a little late; you can join in whenever you arrive.
- 8:15pm – Take a break to enjoy some tapas, chat with others, or step outside for some fresh air.
- 8:45pm – The second half focuses on longer, more detailed poses of up to 20 minutes.
- 9:30pm – Stick around for a social catch-up where everyone is encouraged to share their sketches. It's a fantastic way to see different styles and learn from one another in a supportive space.
- 11:00pm – The evening comes to a close.

Life Drawing+ has been running since 2008 and has supported many people in improving their drawing and art skills over these years. We provide a range of models to learn how to draw the human figure in a series of short poses, from 2 minutes up to 20 minutes. Life Drawing+ has been running amazing life drawing sessions since 2008.We run traditional classes, but from time to time we also run theme sessions for broadening our drawing skills and exploring contemporary issues. We, therefore, invite a wide range of diverse models, all with different bodies, skills and stories.We follow a peer-to-peer learning style by looking at the drawings produced in class and talk about the different styles and materials at the end of the class.Beginners welcome!
