Bouchons are a classic street food in Reunion Island, little steamed dumplings filled with either pork, chicken, or prawns and seasoned with kaffir lime. I was introduced to Gyoza through my Japanese mother-in-law, so the recipe I bring into this class is a family recipe, the one we feast on whenever we eat Japanese.
What you’ll learn:
  • We will make the dumpling dough from scratch.
  • We will make two types of fillings, one with pork and one with chicken.
  • We will then learn how to fold and make pan-fried Gyoza.
  • Then, journey to the vibrant flavours of Reunion Island as we craft steamed bouchons.
  • We will also make a dipping sauce from Reunion Island.
