I've been learning leather craft seriously for the last 6 years but have dabbled for more like 10 years. My leather craft story started when I was working in luxury retail. I used to work for one the well known luxury brands. I enjoyed aspects of this job, especially introducing clients to the brands halo product. The craftsmanship involved is really what caught my interest. When the store wasn't busy I would often spend time looking over the bags and deconstructing them in my head.
I started making my own very simple items and gradually built a better understanding of the different styles within the craft. I would make items for family and friends and would receive requests to make certain specific items. This constantly pushed me to progress my skills and improve my precision. Now, I have clients all over the World and continue to enjoy the challenges this provides.
On the teaching side, in a previous chapter in my life, i worked as an English as a 2nd language teacher and continue to enjoy passing on my skills and experience. After all, the best way to cement your understanding of a subject is to pass it on to somebody else
