Whether you want to enjoy crafting from the comfort of your own home or you’re looking to meet new people as you get making, these craft workshops offer something for everyone.

Most of our workshops are led by colleagues from Hobbycraft stores across the UK, including craft experts from our Hobbycraft Artisan programme. They use their expertise in specific areas of craft to create workshops that show participants new skills and inspire future projects.

Helpful workshop with a knowledgeable member of staff. Gave clear instructions on how to start with a sewing machine, what fabric to use, how to do buttonholes and zips and the best pattern for a novice to start with

This was for my grand daughter’s 10th Birthday present from me Her Mum was with her, I did not taker her, but she loved the class and felt she learnt a lot. The teacher was very good.
I think from what Imogen got out of the class it was well organised and good value, especially for a one to one.
Would recommend this class.

Personable teacher, perfect learning space, surprised and very pleased to receive starter kit and bag to take home which made this workshop excellent value for money.

I learnt two crochet stitches, and gained confidence to continue to improve this new hobby at home. So much better to receive face to face instruction and tuition, rather than continue to be baffled by written or video instructions.

Great class. We were a small group of 4 (they mentioned maximum is typically 5) which meant we were able to get one to one support when needed.

The instructor was incredibly patient and had no problems showing us over and over again.

The class is a perfect introduction to crochet and guided us through the slip knots, double crochet, and treble crochet.

What a fantastic hour and half that zoomed by loved every minute of it. Never done before but always wanted to learn.

We had a lovely teacher gold star standard. Super helpful.

Room was nice and quiet with a small group. So everyone could ask questions and see our teacher easy.
Loved our starter bags. Great value for money.

I even brought 3 balls of wool before I left.

The class was really good and the clay is really fun to work with. However 30 mins is just not enough to make both of these. For the age it is aimed at, there isn't enough time for the kids to keep up. There wasn't one parent in the room who didn't have to step in and take over to ensure we kept up with the teacher. It's not the member of staff's fault, they did great, it's that this should either be 1 hour long or changed so you only make one thing.

My 4.5 year old loved this class and it was a great opportunity to do something together. She needed a fair bit of my help but no so much that it wasn’t enjoyable for her.

I have no doubt she’ll be practicing what she’s learnt with her playdough all week.

All materials were provided and ready, with a choice of a few yarn colours. The teacher was great and personable. Printed guide was provided for the stitches we were taught in the session. As my friend and I had done some basics prior to the class, we were lucky enough and time before the class time ended to learn an additional stitch.

Paula was lovely, she ran the workshop brilliantly. She had no issues with helping my daughter make the figures and taking the time to repeat instructions so she fully understood what to do.
There was nowhere near enough time for this workshop. It was advertised as being 30 minutes but after 20 minutes we had only made 1 figure. We took an hour to make both the santa and the reindeer. Very enjoyable workshop.

Teacher was great, really friendly and patient with the kids!
They enjoyed it, it was great value and they made three decorations when we were expecting two, but I would say one was a bit fiddly for the 4 and 5 year olds we had there, so it took significantly longer than the 30 minutes allotted! Overall great and thank you to the teacher in particular!

The fantastic Harry was teaching us how to make the figures today. As always, he was lovely, patient, kind and helpful. The materials provided were easy to use and of good quality and we got to take leftover clay home with us. Fabulous, thank you Harry for being ace.

I took my 3 grandchildren aged 10, 6 and 3 and they all really enjoyed it. The teacher was great. She helped me with the 2 youngest as I had my hands full! There was plenty of tissue paper and glue available and all 3 pumpkins looked amazing when they were finished.
We'll definitely be booking for future workshops.

The teacher, Debra, was great. She was very friendly and happy to answer all my questions. She covered all the queries that I had and gave great tips and advice. It was good to be able to have the stitches demonstrated slowly which made it easy to follow. I was happy to come away being able to do double crochet and follow a pattern and practice a magic ring. It was money well spent, in my opinion.

The session was absolutely fantastic! The instructor was brilliant! Very helpful and understanding.… She explained everything in an easy and understandable way. She even helped me pick out vinyls and mats, so I can start my own projects at home and offered support after the sessions if I needed help with any future projects. I felt well looked after and I’m more confident with my Cricut. I will definitely be booking another session very soon! Highly recommend to anybody who needs an intro to Cricut or any of the courses. I had a 1 2 1 cilricut lesson today 8/2/23
Kath explained how to use my cricut machine and to navigate the app .She was patient with me and very knowledgeable.
I was interested in printing a design on fabric. She took me through the process from selecting a design and adjusting size etc on the app to loading the cricut. She showed me all the creations which the machine can produce.
She was proffesional, friendly and very enthusiastic. She answered my questions clearly. Making a complete novice feel comfortable.
I came away inspired and keen to try out my cricut machine at home.
She is a credit to Hobbycraft

I purchased this experience for my granddaughters who are 8 years old and 12 years old.They loved it, the teacher was brilliant with them and went through what they needed to do. My children only made one tree each as they didn't fancy making another (was offered to make another) based on this the £10 I spent was quite expensive for the 30 minutes & what we came away with, would be nice to have sibling discount.

Great wreath making workshop at Maidstone Hobbycraft with a separate workspace in store. Fabulous materials and good value for money. We had a great, genuinely friendly teacher with good guidance and ideas, fabulous encouragement and praise. Encourage our own ideas and individuality. The best hour and a half "me" time and with a great festive "I made this" wreath to take home to use for years to come.

Great class absolutely perfect for the age group. My daughter was just about able to do the craft on her own and was thrilled. Not overcrowded which was nice. The teacher was lovely. My kids (6 and 3 yo) had an amazing hour. Harry was very good and explained them how to make the sea creatures. He was very patient with my 3 years old son.
Each child could chose 3 packs of clay and bring their creations at home. Now they are so excited and can't wait tomorrow when the creatures will be dry to play with them.

A fantastic workshop. The air dry clay was a new material for us and we loved it so easy to use and mess free too unlike your typical 'grey' clay. The teacher was amazing with so many great ideas ready for the children to be inspired by. She also was full of great techniques and tips for working with the clay too. Would definitely book again.

Hannah stepped in to take this workshop as the tutor who should have been taking it was away. It was a small group (3 including Hannah). She was helpful and patient and assisted with any difficulties we had. The workshop could have done with being a little longer as it felt a little rushed near the end, just so that I was able to come away with at least one bunting triangle. Really enjoyed it and very good value for money. Plenty of yarn left to make quite a few more bunting triangles.

I really enjoyed the course. Went along with my 18 year old daughter. It went very quickly, think it should be about 2 hours long as if you are a beginner as I needed a lot of help starting from the tutor. Also it would have been nice to have a longer chat with the other members of the group as we crocheted. Would have loved to have stayed longer.
Tutor was very patient and enthusiastic. I would say that this group was more advanced beginner. By the end of the session only one of us had made a whole triangle (not me!) and I would have liked to have had time to finish one triangle and start another as I had found the magic ring technique tricky to learn and the tutor actually did mine for me in the end.
The goody box is great and gives you lots of wool for more bunting.

Teacher calm patient and kind , kit provided excellent, had a good lesson . I’ve learnt how to better cast on so the knot is tighter and tidier. Learnt 3 types of stitch pattern with the 3 different design cacti. Although not in the pattern , was also shown how to cast off . Gained confidence and got into a good rhythm with the needles !

Bree in my local Maidstone store was BRILLIANT! Knowledgeable and patient. She guided me through the Cricut design space, I learnt so much. She also taught me how to turn basically any normal font into a stencil font, which was very valuable to me as a stencil artist. She even wrote the steps down on scrap paper.
